Hate to bother you Chris but can you take a still image in macro mode? I did get this camcorder (the dc1) but a bit disappointed that I can get the macro while shooting "regular" video of myself-if that makes any sense LOL I am soo tech challenged :) Thank you for your help!
@Catalina031 its not a bother. i will see what i can do. i dont think i have tried a still in macro yet. i will probably put it on flickr. i will let you know when its up.

@ZepPaRpLiN i would say the panasonic dc1 would be good. the macro and zoom are the best. the audio is ok but not as good as an external mic. the only other one would be one of the kodaks. but the zoom isnt as good. so you need to decide what you want the most. great zoom and macro (panasonic dc1) or great audio and average macro, zoom ( playtouch).

this is a great video! thank-you so much, the last one, the pasnasonic dc1 is the best for me i think, as for when us beauty girls move the object close to the camera, cant fiddle with zoom while you are filming you're self.

@moreemilk your welcome. I decided to do this video to try and help you guys out. It takes a sdhc card. I have a panasonic 8gb class4. It will also take higher classes. But the class 4 works fine.

macro mode about kodak zx5 is really attractive cause you dont need to switch anything but the sound is not attractive.

e-67 has a macro, and wide angle for the options that chrisc74 hardely mentions good lukc. vid quality is Poor here.
