  • wow dude, seriously, u are one of the top 3 versions i have ever heard of this song, and u really tie with the other two. thank you so much for your generous contribution to the history of music.

  • @SMITHSCIENTIST Thank You! I would like to hear your other two favorites. Are they on YouTube?

  • i like this.

  • Hey that isn't too bad for a cover. Your voice is pretty good, I have heard a lot worse. It is all about your confidence.

  • Thank you!

  • I like that you did the lighting in the same colors as the original video. nice touch

  • Thank you for checking it out.

  • Weird echo... but it sounds good. :)

  • Not the best I've ever heard.......work on pitch

and lose the echo. sorry dude, anyone can do a cover, whats your spin on it?

  • Not much of a spin, more of a tribute to the man who wrote the song. I am a writer and out of a ton of videos this is the only cover.

my singing pitch was way off on some notes, I had a bad cold, but that also gave the scratchy voice so it's a toss up. I cringe when I here how flat I am on parts, but oh well.

I checked your videos, not too bad but the quality of the video and sound keep your songs from sounding as good as they could. It's all just for fun though, right? Right.

    Peace,

    J.L

  • sounds pretty cheesy with the verb and delay, weak.

  • Very good! I would like somebody to make this song in rock/ metal version :)

  • Same as the others, it sounds awesome, except for the echo ^^.

Play it again without echo :D

  • Thanks Angikx, I have been meaning to do that.

  • excellent. If not for the heavy echo in the beginning, it would have been perfect. Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks!

  • you really do sound like wreckless eric...i've also watched the movie stranger than fiction, that is why i go looking for someone who might have done a cover of whole wide world.. and your one is the best so far...thanks for posting this vid! really made my day!

  • Thanks ! This came out better than I expected but I wish I would have left out the talking part at the beginning.

  • nightmare, listen to the proclaimers.

  • The Proclaimers are a joke ;)

  • that was awesome except for the the idea of the echo...

if i hadnt looked at the screen, i'd have thought that was Wreckless Eric.

  • Wow, thanks !

  • The scratchy voice might have added to the quality of the sound, actually, lel.

  • It is good..but like most say..loose the effects! You do fine by yourself. The echo is very bad.

  • Pleeaaasse do it again without the effects! would sound really nice I think!!

    keep up the nice work

  • Thanks, if I get time I will.

    Peace,

    J.L

  • Nice! I'd love to hear you do it without the effects for your voice as well...Your voice sounds great as does your guitar playing.

  • I may try that. Thanks!

  • very nice one of the best covers i've heard in a long time

  • Thank You much.

  • very groovy Leonard! YOU ROCK - LUV YA MAN =)

  • Me Thanks You

    Peace

  • I like this a lot too! i think you did an awesome job!

I agree about the echo being a bity too much though. But as a whole, you rock!

  • Thank you much!

  • Wow! This was actually really good!!!!

  • Thanks

  • great job and your like perfictoe!!!!!!luv av

  • Thanks !

  • Hey I like yours better then the origional...too much echo tho

  • Thanks,

    That's a huge complement.

    J.L

  • I like it! Can`t compare with the original but you did a great cover version!!

  • Thanks, I agree, the original is great!

  • hey bud

too bad I cant accept your video response because my video is already being used for another video response but your version is awesome keep it up

  • That's all right. Thanks !

  • i really like your cover!

    great job man!!!

the monkees actually recorded this song in the late 60's...so they may be the original artists.

  • I will try to listen to their version. Thanks,

    J.L

  • The original was written and recorded by Wreckless Eric. The Monkees' version was a cover: nice, but Eric's is darker, harsher and more punk. =) You can learn more at wrecklesseric dot com or just Google him.

  • Sorry bud but it's Eric's song.

The Monkees recorded it in the late 80's during their reunion.

  • The voice should be scratchy for this. Too much echo. I like your subtle delivery on the verses. Why's the screen so dark?

  • I also applied an effect on the video but when I shrank it down for the YouTube upload it got darker. I agree on too much echo, I was afraid of that. Thanks for checking it out !
