  • I was at that stage but i found that vegetable glycerine and water mix really works! Plenty of vids on yt for the recipe.

  • Everyone loves shea butter...all it does it make my hair feel greasy..it's great for my skin, though. Nothing consistently stops my hair from being dry.

  • @flatlanderdot someone who shares my sentiments. please let me know if you find anything that works. ive done it all. even making sure i drink oodles of water...nothing works.

  • @flatlanderdot i feel you..my sister..my hair is stuck between a grease monkey..and a hard rock..i just can't get it right..ive been at this for 2 months..and i don't know what i'm doing...*deep sigh*

  • i got it and it does work and i like it very much when i need a quick style

  • vollume is really low

  • glad it works for you but i still need to find something. sheabutter does nothing for my but make it shiny and greasy

  • Awww, you look so cute :)

  • do u put it on wet or dry hair, thanks

  • omg!! i got mines there too!!!!

  • if you want your hair to stop being dry and brittle just dont wash it the oil will build up and your good to go i wash my hair like once a week (or 2 or 3 lol) and ive never had a split end but i guess girls couldnt let there hair get that dirty huh? lol

  • I have it for my skin and all this time i could of put it straight on to my hair......damn

  • the best way to tell if it is real shea butter or not, is like she said 100% natural, and if u fing little pieces of sticks and twigs, yea, it's real...

  • good good

  • you can find it all over, i used that for my body. Im in alabama and i found it at the beauty supply store up the street! :)

  • You are right about the shea butter. I use petrolum jelly. I like the old school method to.

But they are similar where you can use it on many parts of the body! I love multipurpose products!

  • no homo u luk so pretty with natural hair

  • I purchased this from my local beauty supply store!

  • I love it.I mix with coconut oil...it is all I use on my hair and kin, even lips. Absolutely wonderful!

  • i love Shea butter but make sure u are not receiving the fake stuff....the best kind is raw unrefined shea butter. Usually if it comes in the jar u showed it has petroleum in it. i found this out later but like i said the best kind is raw unrefined shea butter...try it out and u will notice the difference trust me....

  • I hate it on my hair but I love it on my skin. Works wonders for stretch marks.

  • @kierone1 i agree, its to much effort to spread it throught my hair, but it is definitely great for skin

  • Everyone cannot use shea butter! If you have any nut allergies, do not use this product!! I

  • Shea butter does not work for everyone! I find it just sits on my hair and feels greasy and my hair is no softer. It works wonders for the skin though.

  • I agree it is not for everyone but i plan to mix it with castor oil and see the effect. Then mix another batch with lanolin and see if it hydrates my hair and scalp.

  • it may be a process...also, sometimes it reacts badly with other products

  • I love Shea Butter and I whip it in a mixer with Olive oil - !!!

  • shea butter is great but i HATE the way it smells.

  • if u live in new york city u can find that stuff on like every corner i think its like 10 dollars for some i have that and i used to use it on my skin. imma try it in my hair today

  • Where Do You Buy That Specific Brand Of Shea Butter?

  • who cares how its pronounced well all know what she talkin about duhhhhh

  • EXACTLY!!!! LOL , WHO CARES??!!! I love shea butter!!

  • Its not she-a it's pronounced shay...

  • I love that this video is short..anyways do u melt it?

  • u cute

  • i love african shea butter!! i've been using for my pregnancy also, i have 2 firends that used it and didn't have stretch marks =D

  • i really like ur afro, great advice imma get me sum more shea buttah quick (pronounced shay butter)

  • thank youu.. and every1 i think she knows how its pronounced by now..

  • Shea Butter is pronounced (shay)...just some fyi for you. :)

  • My father is from Nigeria and over there where they produce some of the nuts its called

    Shee....

I pronounce it this way..and ppl always tell me I'm wrong..

  • is the best for hair and that kind of thing

so you well thankyou from Sarah

  • huh?

  • I don't know if you've figured it out by now but Shea is pronounced (shay). Good advice, keep it up.

  • u and ur hair are just gorgeous!

  • Nice afro and just an FYI the product is pronounced "shay butter" In case you go looking for it in a store that might help someone to recognize what you are asking for.

  • I went and bought that SAME Shea Butter at a Korean store today actually. They did not carry it at a well known beauty supply store that I went to first. Hope it works haven't tried it yet, but I hear it's good stuff.

  • You're hair is like mine! i did my big chop september 19th! it's wonderful being natural isn't it?? I love it i know you do too! do you get alot of critics? I sure dod, but they make me want to fluant it evenmore :]

  • do*

  • uhh mostly my critics are my family sad i kno but other than that others always give me compliments or tell me how much they want to go natural too

  • @SiiSTALUV ME TO A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK IM GAY ARE SOME CRAZY STUFF SMH AT THE CLOSE MINDED PEOPLE , I WAS TIRED OF PERMS AND MY HAIR WAS SO DAMAGE AS IS I WAS JUST READY FOR A NEW START AND MY HAIR IS SO DRY BUT IM GOING TO TRY THE SHEA BUTTER TY

  • @natalie20088290 i feel u .. how long have u been natural???

yeah idk why ppl tend to think anyone who is natural must be gay.. smh

  • omg ur gorgeous and ur hair its just gorgeus and it looks so healthy!! i must no all ur secrets !!! lol

  • Haaaayyyy, I love my butta too. 4b/course hair type.

  • i agree with you. just yesterday, i was doing my mother's hair (she's transitioning) and i was suggesting some things she should and should not use. she asked me how do i know what to use. i told her, my general philosophy is that if i can digest it, then i can put it on my hair. now that doesn't mean i'm about to go melt some caramel and use it as a moisturizer, but i know you get my point. *LOL*

  • Your hair is nice and thick just like mines...how long have you been natural?

  • nine months on the 27th

  • My hair is so hard to the touch would shea butter help soften it?

  • absolutely positively super soft :D

  • After you co-wash, put in a deep moisturizing treatment, once a week, sit under the dryer 20 min., rinse through then apply shea butter you will see more of a difference. Co washing is washing with a moisturizer instead of shampoo all the time. This method does not strip the hair of natural oils as much.

  • i got that exact shea butter from a bss on the west side!

  • i'm allergic to shea butter....

  • where do you get shea butter

  • i dont know where to get it off the internet your just gona hafta google it :(

  • I purchased my container from an asian-owned beauty supply store. All of the beauty supply stores in VA that are owned by Asians usually carry this product, but I don't know where else you could get it besides there.

  • I've seen shea butter in the BSS, it always looks funny to me...different from the natural unrefined shea butter. How does it do for your hair?

  • what does BSS stand for?? and it basically stops your hair from drying out and conditions

  • BSS=Beauty Supply Store...I was just curious about the shea butter that is sold there versus the unrefined type that I order. But regardless, I guess its a life saver for a lot of other people.

  • Beauty supply store!

  • good info

  • that's pretty short time 4 your nice length georgios!!!

  • Your fro is nice:)! I use shea butter as well melted in the microwave along with castor oil. How long have you been growing your fro?

  • six months

  • you are cute, and i agree with you on the shea butter it keeps my fro looking and feeling great

  • Thanks.

  • You are so cute! I love your fro it's so gorgeous.

  • this butter is so great on the skin 2 but do not keep the top off for a long time it will get hard but u can put it n the micro to get it soft so my friend say

  • check out floevatv's recipe for whipped shea butter 2. i live by the shea butter!

  • Thanks for the recommendation.

  • I think im going to get some of that once i actually BC...Your hair looked sooo soft..:). did u put it on damp hair or on dry hair..??...

  • on dry dont put too much a little goes a long way you can dampen your hair to make it easier to seperate when your hair gets long but i do it usually after i wash my hair n it dries a bit. good luck :D
