  • They're extinct dammit

  • This is stupid... instead of wasting money and time on trying to recreate something that no longer exists, why don't they try to save other animals in risk of extinction?

  • i think all animals that were extinct because of human selfishness and stupidity should be brought back. animals that were killed for environmental reasons should be lower priority.

  • 1:25 Bruce Campbell?

  • quaggas pwn

  • i hope they also can make other extinct animals bring back their lives again,, like the dodo and thylacine,, and other species...

  • HEY,EVERYBODY SEE THIS VIDEO - STRANGE LOOKING ZEBRA - HERE ON YOU TUBE¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • Cryptozoology novel see video bank trailer

  • que no destruimos y nos decimos superiores siendo una especie que se debio haber extinto en 28000 años... lo mismo le va a pasar a este mundo

  • What for? Why do we need a zebra with quagga-zebra markings? It will be just a cross-breed and should not be released with that mixed DNA into the wild, because they would cross breed with other "normal" zebra subspecies, diluting their useful DNA created by natural selection.

The program is a nice genetic game, but if they just breed animals that only LOOK like the original, it's not more than a game to see if it's possible. There is no conservational value of it.

  • Still it will not be a natural quagga that God created.

Not the quagga created in nature

but the quagga created in the lab

albeit their effort and vision of bringing it back is commendable.

    just noticed this one:

(the word quagga is not recognized by the computer. I see red underline on it while typing the word. extinct really.)

  • are they meant to be blue ??

  • @Adster09 No. The Quagga was brown with strips no its neck & head. White legs & a long tail.

  • They are 3/4 zebra and 1/4 horse

  • @Lovingirl1234 No they weren't.

  • I wasn't aware these were extinct. i could swear i saw a some in a documentary back when I was 5 or 6.

  • Quagga is a red zebra.

  • They were hunted to extinction, the last one, a mare was in the London Zoo but she died of old age..... but people store quagga fossils and hairs and so on so they already HAVE the DNA they just need to clone it.

  • @toddkr1 do they have the intire dna from it or fragments?

  • im glad they are trying the quagga is an amazing animals lived! half a zebra half a horse :D

  • actually it's all zebra. the quagga is really a different kind of "Plains Zebra"

  • so sad the quanggas are gona T_T

  • Hell yeah Quaggas.

  • can`t they introduce the dna, or fragments,of real quaggas, into these project?

  • i went to a zoo and i saw a quagga

  • the quagga IS a zebra!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
