Sure this dante doesn't look the same but who cares? People evolve, Dante could NOT have been born with all his swagger, This game will probably show where it came from. The gameplay looks amazing, the story is kinda intricate and you should all calm down. He does return to normal at the end. So breathe DMC Fanboys and Fangirls. (Watch the Devil Trigger. Red Jacket + White Hair.) He'll be back before you know it.

I have hope in this: maybe it's just becuase I'm a Ninja Theory loyalist, but they've always made good games. Heavenly Sword was up there, and Enslaved just knocked me on my arse. If you didn't by it, shame on you.
I kinda like the new ideas presented here (of coarse i can understand why others wouldn't) but i think of it as an opportunity to give some depth to dantes back story
Look, basically this is the same dante, before dante perfected his devil trigger his hair was all black, whenever he triggered the devil gene his hair turns white in the game, it even shows it. this is when Dante was WAY younger then part 3. and the smoking part idk y they made him smoke but it sorta does look badass
I dunno, I like this pre Dante guy. Like it doesn't look nearly as bad as everyone's been making it out to be, but then again I'm not the most hardcore Devil May Cry fan so x)

I respect what you opinion. But let me tell you that DmC is a reboot which means they have discarded original Dante for this new fiction character that Ninja theory produced called "Donte" which is in reality Tameem Antoniades (person leading DmC Ninja theory group) inspired.

Sin embargo el cambio de desarrolladores, el cambio de imagen (no solo en Dante) y otros factores me han hecho creer (y a mucha mucha gente más) que está entrega podría no ser excelente, como lo fue en su tiempo DMC2, pero es precipitado asegurarlo, cierto. Y si, es verdad que la actitud es lo más importante, noté que le cambia a blanco en una parte, ojalá lo manejen bien. Y bueno, queda esperar y ver qué show.

@jgoth08 It's not just his look anymore. They've changed him into a Half-Demon and Half-Angel. How that works is beyond me. The Devil Trigger is now nothing more than a Matrix Mode. No more style combos. And rebellion has turned into Dante's Scythe from Dante's Inferno.
I'll say this. This has the makings of a great name, but it will never be as good as it wants to be because Ninja Theory wants to call it a Devil May Cry. Good Game, but a Bad Devil May Cry game

It has potential to be really fun and be a good game yeah. Just we'll see on the game and when there is more news out, we can have a better judgment
@jgoth08 Well I think we can agree nothing is as bad as Devil May Cry 2......but I mean the fact that the series has probably no chance in hell now of catching some form of closure or a way to end the series appropriately. I say this because when I look at this, I see Heavenly Sword mixed with Ninja Gaiden. Not a bad thing, but seems to deviate away from Devil May Cry in style and the gameplay is just barely resembling it at all. I'll just have to wait and see.
Grand Theft Auto IV was worse to me lol. But I didn't hate 2. It was a pretty bad game, but I played it back when Devil May Cry was new and interesting to me. By time 3 came out, the gameplay seemed really dated. They never added any depth just difficulty. 2 was really boring cause it was spread out too much and story sucked. But gameplay was okay if I remember it right. It to me has the best Devil Trigger. But again, there is only a few good things you can say about it
If I played it now, I might have a different opinion of the game. As for the new game, it looks like it will bring more to the table. Won't be as smooth probably, but will have a fresh start. Something I feel it's needed. Not really on Dante, I mean If I were to reboot DmC, I'd just start with a new character. No point in making a reboot with the same character. But then again, I totally am for the Tomb Raider reboot. I think it's totally necessary.
@jgoth08 OK I'll definitely agree with you there. Lara Croft had no depth what so ever and was quite an unlikable character the moment she went to the PS2. So yeah the Tomb Raider reboot is necessary.
I like this, The Original Dante wil NEVER EVER DIE! But as the ages move forward the originals always get replaced eventually, but I imagine this wil be a one time job we probably will not see this Dante again after this new adaption. But I believe that this is meant to be a more realistic view into our much beloved game, the original was much closer related to anime/manga characters where as this is somewhat much more distinctive, I am still weary but I can't wait to try this new game.

Look, basically this is the same dante, before dante perfected his devil trigger his hair was all black, whenever he triggered the devil gene his hair turns white in the game, it even shows it. this is when Dante was WAY younger then part 3. and the smoking part idk y they made him smoke but it sorta does look badass

Colors are too saturated, but I guess its either that or having everything tinted shit brown.

I dunno, I like this pre Dante guy. Like it doesn't look nearly as bad as everyone's been making it out to be, but then again I'm not the most hardcore Devil May Cry fan so x)

I respect what you opinion. But let me tell you that DmC is a reboot which means they have discarded original Dante for this new fiction character that Ninja theory produced called "Donte" which is in reality Tameem Antoniades (person leading DmC Ninja theory group) inspired.

@Roshby54 You're right, but compared to the old Dante, sigh, he had this humor, but Dante turned more into a badass smoker though. xD Even so,I'm not so familiar with his looks i mean man, why relaunch DMC? We can understand the reboot, BUT DON'T FUCKING change the STORY for fuck's ake, it wouldn't make sense anymore, Sparda is not even in the plot anymore since its a fucking reboot. If they changed Dante's style i would care less, but at least keep the plot and his rebellion.

@WA5ON1 Ya investigué más y no se trata de un reboot, es más bien como otra precuela. Sin embargo el cambio de desarrolladores, el cambio de imagen (no solo en Dante) y otros factores me han hecho creer (y a mucha mucha gente más) que está entrega podría no ser excelente, como lo fue en su tiempo DMC2, pero es precipitado asegurarlo, cierto. Y si, es verdad que la actitud es lo más importante, noté que le cambia a blanco en una parte, ojalá lo manejen bien. Y bueno, queda esperar y ver qué show.

@jgoth08 It's not just his look anymore. They've changed him into a Half-Demon and Half-Angel. How that works is beyond me. The Devil Trigger is now nothing more than a Matrix Mode. No more style combos. And rebellion has turned into Dante's Scythe from Dante's Inferno.
I'll say this. This has the makings of a great name, but it will never be as good as it wants to be because Ninja Theory wants to call it a Devil May Cry. Good Game, but a Bad Devil May Cry game

@jgoth08 Well I think we can agree nothing is as bad as Devil May Cry 2......but I mean the fact that the series has probably no chance in hell now of catching some form of closure or a way to end the series appropriately. I say this because when I look at this, I see Heavenly Sword mixed with Ninja Gaiden. Not a bad thing, but seems to deviate away from Devil May Cry in style and the gameplay is just barely resembling it at all. I'll just have to wait and see.

Grand Theft Auto IV was worse to me lol. But I didn't hate 2. It was a pretty bad game, but I played it back when Devil May Cry was new and interesting to me. By time 3 came out, the gameplay seemed really dated. They never added any depth just difficulty. 2 was really boring cause it was spread out too much and story sucked. But gameplay was okay if I remember it right. It to me has the best Devil Trigger. But again, there is only a few good things you can say about it

If I played it now, I might have a different opinion of the game. As for the new game, it looks like it will bring more to the table. Won't be as smooth probably, but will have a fresh start. Something I feel it's needed. Not really on Dante, I mean If I were to reboot DmC, I'd just start with a new character. No point in making a reboot with the same character. But then again, I totally am for the Tomb Raider reboot. I think it's totally necessary.

I like this, The Original Dante wil NEVER EVER DIE! But as the ages move forward the originals always get replaced eventually, but I imagine this wil be a one time job we probably will not see this Dante again after this new adaption. But I believe that this is meant to be a more realistic view into our much beloved game, the original was much closer related to anime/manga characters where as this is somewhat much more distinctive, I am still weary but I can't wait to try this new game.

1. Um, we already have seen and know the young Dante, he appears in DMC3.
2. Directors just confirmed that This is a separated canon reboot, This game is not placed anywhere in the chronological order of DMC, not prequel or sequel of any DMC game.
So no, this is not the Dante we know, this is just something new and completely different.
