  • Id just like to add that yes, dove is a company that sells stuff, but where in this video do they try and get you to buy something? This video promotes parent to enstill confidence in young girls, and i find nothing corrupt or wrong about that in any way. Even if they are trying to secretly sell anything, i feel promoting soap and natural beauty instead of makeup is hardly villanous...

  • i love that dove is making commercials like these and yet they are owned by the same company that sells axe. and is you seen an axe commercial, you know that they arent all about having female power and all that. honestly no matter how much i want to believe that a company isnt in it for the money, they still are all damn mulipulative. good marketing skills.

  • take a bath, use sunblock, brush your teeth... -less hassle, less expense

  • This is true but some people aren't as pretty as this girl and would get laughed at because of freckles, wrinkles, birth marks, dots ect. That's why they try to cover it up. But why does the media tell you that dots and marks are ugly? They actually add to your face, like a painting. When it is too plain it doesn't look realistic so it needs some natural colour.

  • @ComedyLoverGirl no one laughs at freckles, wrinkles and birthmarks!

okay, maybe some mean girls at school. but not that many...

  • @tyler62126 Actually, it's quite common for people to be tuanted because of bag under the eyes or birthmarks or other marks on the face. You know there are even people who are rejected when they are looking for jobs because they have scars and birthmarks

  • @ComedyLoverGirl jobrejection because of birthmarks and scars? that's really odd and just plain discrimination. never heard about something like that.

but makeup is not a solution to this- shouting out loud for your rights to be treated equally is the only solution!

  • She's lucky to look pretty without makeup

  • HOW' IS THE NAME OF THE MUSIC???

  • I dont like this commercial. Natural is beautiful, so theyre telling girls to stop wearing makeup? They need to know that purpose of makeup is to ENHANCE beauty hence confidence for some and its just a FUN and normal thing for girls to do. If youre talking abt the cosmetic surgeries and other extreme measures then thats a totally different thing. But makeup is another. Just bcoz a girl wears makeup doesnt necessarily mean she has low self esteem! This commercial's pointless. i like the other ones.

  • @cthour makeup is not normal. btw: i think the woman looked better and younger without makeup.

  • its a nice message but that chick still looks like shes wearing makeup .....

  • @stardazzleabbi3 why does it matter? Better an animal than you. God put us in dominion over the animals, and honestly, if there was a cure for cancer, I would want to have it tested on animals first. Everything that isn't tested has either broken people out or uses the same formula as other brands that do test. Don't listen to the freaks at PETA. No offense PETA.

  • @videovixen06 There are different testing methods and components that don't need to be tested because there's no way they could be harmful. Other cosmetic companies like Lush, The Body Shop, and many others manage it, so there's no reason why Dove shouldn't, too. And we're not talking about cures for cancer or even other medicine - just cosmetics, and "being pretty" is definitely not worth killing millions of animals.

  • @videovixen06 there is no god.

  • fucking bullshitters..

  • I like Dove for the commercials they've made about self-esteem and being yourself, but I don't like that it's not guaranteed that their products aren't tested on animals. :(

  • at the end of the day it's all about selling the product by appealing to the population and the majority of the population have low self-esteems..it's still all about the dollar..I'm all for inner beauty but come on the people that run Dove honestly don't give a damn about anything other than sell sell sell.

  • i love doves messages some may think they are gay or stupid or wrong but girls try to hard to be beautiful maybe they just need confidence... i wish you could but bottles of bravery

  • @dosomethin888 She said beauty products.

  • She's still got make up on.

  • ew her hair is oily :S

  • does anyone know what this song is called?

  • But here's the thing you can't ever tell if the model is airbrushed

  • Comment removed

  • @ilovepurplebanana seriously?

  • I wouldn't kick her out of bed if she cut an egg fart.

  • who says she doesnt still have make up on ???

  • I think the message is: makeup is fine, just don't overdo it. Try to enhance your beauty without covering up all your natural features.

  • yeah, but eyebrows are probably waxed....

  • well we use make up to enhance our natural beauty and to look the best we can i wish though there was one day in the year were no women wore make up then there would be no feeling self conscious for not wearing make up!!

  • yeah, uncover your beauty, sure. if you look like this model. i mean, i like the message, and i know this has already been said, but they should have used someone who isn't 'beautiful' like her. because really, most people aren't going to look like her with or without makeup. she looks like she could be on the cover of a magazine, and it's hard to relate to because of that.

  • Uhmm... yeah pretty sure that wasn't a real Dove Ad...

  • At least dove is trying togive the message that it's not all about looking like the media ideal. Which is only young slim and flawless (and completely airbrushed and altered) Yes they're still using models and beautiful ones at that and theyre still trying to sell in the health and beauty industry but at least they're trying to take a more balaced line. I say fair play!

  • lol, i know the real reason people buy these products.

    Yuchkkk

  • Of course they picked a model to have no make up, forget about normal girls

  • I hope all the false statements your making don't come back and bite you on the ass. These "dove" users are going to be very dissapointed once age kicks in, SOAP can't stop time.

  • DOVE!!!!!!!!!! What the hell are you doing? I hope you realize there are a lot of people that dont see it your way, I hope for your sake, the person with the Idea for your ads slips on a bar of soap. That's BEAUTY! hahahahahaha do your goddamn psychology homework, while your at it, assign a few researchers to see the negative impact your contradictions are having on your bottom line. WOW STUPID STUPID STUPID.

  • she is turkish.

  • Okay now show a girl taking off her makeup and clothes to reveal her "natural beauty" covered in acne, cellulite, and stretchmarks....

  • @MiNaDaNiE Hopefully she still thinks she's freakin beautiful in her own way! Stop being negative and realize the real message that dove is trying to convey. Are you saying if you have stretchmarks, then you're ugly? What the crap? Is it such a bad thing that dove is trying to combat the media onslaught of the warped idea of "perfection"?

  • She isn't completely without makeup, u can still c some in the after shes supposedly taken it off.

  • the ultimate beauty lies within us.... with or without the outside only matters to unnecessary people....

  • she's still wearing makeup!

  • i'm dam ugly without make up!!! Does dove recomend the same for me??

I fucking hate this sort of bulshit.... Some people are beautiful and others are screwed

  • can someone please tell me what song that was?? i can't find it!

  • That girl looked like a cover model, even without makeup. Couldn't they pick a more 'plain' girl?

  • then you wouldnt get the same message

  • not everyone is pretty without makeup.

  • Natural is beautiful. So buy our beauty products? I really like the message but I can't get my head around the motive... it just seems like a contradiction.

  • my thoughts exactly.

  • @CuppaTea4Me I think is mean to mean to use cremes and stuff to treat your imperfections, not to hide them with make up

  • @CuppaTea4Me but dove doesnt seel beauty products, they only sell things like soap, shampoo, deodorant, that kind of sutff, dont they?

  • Comment removed

  • @CuppaTea4Me very mature

  • @CuppaTea4Me Its more about taking care of your skin with moisture and soaps but dont bury your beauty with concealer and eyeliner

  • @CuppaTea4Me "Beauty products" are what dove sells really. They are more to keep skin healthy, which healthy skin is beautiful.

  • @CuppaTea4Me Well, dove doesn't sell makeup products. They sell shampoos and other stuff like that.

  • @CuppaTea4Me Yes It's wierd, but I guess dove sell products such as shampoo... or cream for your skin, so you don't have to wear make up and your skin still looks pretty... yep, weird.

  • @CuppaTea4Me its because dove is a soap company, not a make up brand, they are just telling women to keep it natural

  • @CuppaTea4Me the twist is: they don't sell make up. they sell shampoo and creams and lotions. they are considered to be "natural".

  • @CuppaTea4Me dove isnt a makeup company its a skin company so there saying buy our products to keep ur skin nice so u can go natural

  • @CuppaTea4Me i like what they're doing, they're motivating people to look at the beauty they already have. their products don't make you anymore beautiful anyway, have you seen their recent ads, models still with blemish, a little acme, but really, beautiful people, like everyone :D, you can still take care of yourself with products that you have!

  • again...telling us what beauty is.

  • make up feels like dirt on my face

  • Haha same here! =]

  • you cant tell me she isnt wearing make up.. >_>

beautyful is always on the OUTSIDE! otherwise it would be called "friendly" or "nice"!

  • You're right.

  • She was gorgeous whatever she did.

  • Makeup is used to enhance of features, not to cover them up. ;)

    I like this, thanks!

  • why they keep exploiting young females with this campaign?

Tell older women to go natural. Let the greys fly.

  • nice skin... :) and nose...

  • way beat with out so much make up! she looked lyk a slut with heaps of make up..

  • ahahahhaha/ seriously she is beautiful/ and the commercial is nice

  • Dove is the only soap I can use. The other brands break me out! I like this commercial! Many Blessings to you!

  • What song is that?

  • she looks much b etter without the makeup, very pretty

  • I still wear makeup, but i like what this video and Dove stands for =] Good job w/ this ^^

  • Make up could be useful, but most of the times is just garbage that people put on their faces :S

  • If she isnt wearing make up then why has she still got perfect skin

  • She has a good complexion. It happens.

  • The problem is she's still highly sexualized - the ad has everything to do with uncovered breasts and nothing to do with natural beauty without makeup. If Dove wants to really help they should stop treating woman as sex objects, and telling women that sex and body parts are the only things that make them worthwhile. Women ARE NOT ON THIS EARTH TO BE BOY TOYS.

  • WHOA her eyebrows are insanely long. that's so weird looking! she's still very pretty though, just crazy eyebrows.....

  • Well not everyone is lucky enough to have the gift of natural beauty.

    Sadly I don't. That's why I need makeup.

  • I agree with you, smileybubbles08, she looks WAY better WITHOUT makeup, I mean most girls do...................... :D GO DOVE!

    *Kari Highman :)

  • OMG she is so much prettier without the makeup

  • she's really gorgeous! and outstanding! Go girl! Natural is what's the best! :))

  • she looks very arabian .. or maybe turkish :P

  • ok, good idea. bad model. she was already gorgeous to begin with, either way!

  • And how much pjoto shop did they use on this one? All these commercal arn't helping much. go out in the town take photos there instead of just taking them with YOUR promotion models and YOUR prefessional camera. I want to see true bueaty not look at how fake the other is.

  • the model is gorgeous!

  • As far as I could see, she still had eye make-up one after she was supposed to be uncovered. D:

    Great message, though. :D

  • what song is this?

  • "Sick Couple" by My Toys Like Me

  • what song is this??? please tell me!

  • "Sick Couple" by My Toys Like Me

  • Wat average persone is natruly tht pretty?

  • a lot of girls are naturally that pretty!

  • It's a little bit wierd to see this models without makeup, because all we see in television is perfectly retouched, but this is the truth, the real beauty, and the model looks great without makeup!, wonderfull commercial.

  • it's true that this commercial has a positive message. xcept, i still think the model had makeup on , even after she's supposed to be makeup-free.

  • yay!

  • GO AWAY!

  • love it!
