  • This sounds just as good in Spanish . Tell my why I'm about to cry ...

  • This actually helps with my Spanish.

  • there is a mistake at 0:41, the word "demonstrate" is "demostrar" ,not "demonstrar"

  • to me when she says yo it sounds like she is saying jo! lol

  • @MrLittleRebelinBlack In Mexico, what's spelt like y/ll is pronounced as either an English "y" or some sort of a "jy" or anything in between, allophonically, which means the speaker does not know there is a difference between those two sounds so he or she will pronounce either of them arbitrarily.

  • @MrLittleRebelinBlack that's why mexican paeople say Yacob instead of Jacob.

  • This and "colors of the wind" are two of my fave disney animated movie songs...

And it's just as beautiful in spanish

  • This is better than the English version, and I can barely understand it

  • I love how Disney can bring any cultures together :D

  • i love this song no matter the language

When will my reflection show who I am inside?"

  • I only understand this and the ingless a little.

"Doesn't matter if they love or criticize you; respect, honor or defame you; crown or crucify you, because the greatest blessing in the existence is to be your self" Osho

  • how to spell " V " in spanish , is that " B " in english ?

  • @sammul5201 No. they have very similar, but not equal sounds. "V" has a softer sound than "B"

    God Bless You!!!

  • @AdryAsakura it should be the same as english, but nowadays no one cares and pronounces them the way it goes out of the mouth at the moment XD

  • Well, everyone always says that every song is more touching in every other language. My theory is that everyone is used to hearing English so everything is more beautiful. ;P

  • this spanish version makes me very happy to know spanish my first language ! :)

  • Wow, her voice sounds almost exactly the same as the original English version. Thanks so much for the subtitles; I think I'm going to try to learn this! X3

Aunque suena rarito xD

  • Her voice sounds so soft.

  • love it

  • This song is so much more beautifulo and touching in Spanish.

  • Rather than "falsity" I would simply use "lie", but it is good all the same.

Love the song, both in English and Spanish. So cute.

  • Damn, I remember when I couldnt speak an inkling of English...I used to watch EVERY Disney movie in Spanish...I've come a long way but to me, the spanish versions will always be the best because I'm so used to them. Thank you very much for uploading this. It brought back so many memories.

  • Omg!!! I'm in the exact same position. I began to learn English when i was eleven, so all my childhood was with Spanish Disney, haha. :) Great stuff really

  • lol I'm brushing up on my high school Spanish thru Disney.

  • lol...I did the same thing with Japanese, I used Shoujo Cosette and Special A

  • something else, you should know that there are some errors on the translation, and from the sidebar, vosotros and ustedes aren't 3rd person, they're 2nd person,

    1st singular "Yo" (I)

    1st plural "Nosotros"(We)

2nd singular "Tú", "Vos" or "Usted" depends on the country (You)

2nd plural "Ustedes" or "Vosotros" (You)

3rd singular "Él or Ella" (He, She and It)

    3rd plural "Ellos" (They)

  • Sorry if I am just picking this up wrong, but your comment confuses me. I am learning Castillano in school, and we are taught that "usted" and "ustedes" are formed using the *third* person singluar and plural of the verbs.

Perhaps they use it your way in another spanish speaking country, but from my point of view, I am really confused. I know that the language varies from country to country.

  • ha, sorry i find the confusing part, when i first read the sidbar i thought the user was saying that "usted" was 3rd person, but the conjugation is the same as in 3rd person, sorry if i confused you, it's just that a native speaker doesn't really analyse his own language

  • Very nice song!, the voice is so wonderful

  • i speak almost no spanish but i can sing almost two songs in spanish but i dont know what i,m saying to well but i do love oyher languages they sound so pretty compared to english(the only language i do speak)no offence anyone who likes english idont mean i dont like it i just mean that i think other languages sound so much prettier

  • there are some things in the transalation that are wrong... well thanks for upload I really love this song

  • My parents are Mexican and I was raised with the Latin American versions of Disney movies in United States.

English, as I'm sure other languages as well, sound beautiful too. Still, I'm familiar with my native tongue and I'm proud of it. XD

  • You should be proud that Spanish is your native tongue :) It´s a very beautiful language ^^

I wish it was my first language sometimes.. but then again, I´d rather not learn English as a second language x) It´s a bit more irregular and kinda ugly compared to languages like español :)

  • i moved to an english-speaking country(not saying its name because of safety reasons) but im forgetting some words in spanish, and im doing the best i can not to forget them, but i cant avoid it :(

  • that tends to happen, my mother's best friend called her after a long time she moved to the states ahd she talked combining english and spanish lol

  • actually english is so much easier that spanish as a second language, for a start you have the conjugations, i love i was born on a spanish speaker country

  • @SarabiLioness Is funny you said that, you see... most people thinks that Spanish is harder to learn and more confusing than English.

I speak Spanish and I'm learning English.

  • @imaccidentallyinlove It is important to take pride in your native tongue. Mine's Tamil (one of the oldsest languages in existence). But they never have Disney movies dubbed in Tamil, only Hindi. (sigh)

  • @imaccidentallyinlove Me encanta espanol even though its my second language. I think the spanish versions are so beautiful. But it really is what you grow up with so I love the english versions more. Pero espanol es muy bellisima tambien. :) <3

  • I love this version! But I'm still learning soanish, but I understand the jist. I just wish my family spoke spanish to me while growing up.

  • who sings this version its beautiful?

  • I love it! being raised in Mexico for 14 years and being born in Texas...this is PERFECT! CONGRATULATIONS! FELICIDADES!

  • Thank you for these videos Sarabi, I'm a spanish speaker (is it correct to say "spanish speaker"?? he he ok, you understand me, don't you?) but your videos help me with my english!

  • Yes, you can say "Spanish speaker", that is correct! And I am glad these videos help your English! :)

  • @martiA113 As a native English speaker, I'd say "spanish speaker" :)

  • Thats So Brilliant!

    I Love It!

I From Mexico And Now I Living In Isarel

But Version Is From Mexico, Right?

  • Yes, this is the Mexican (Latin American Spanish) version. It's so beautiful. Spanish is the best language ever ^-^

  • you are so right!

    where do you come from?

  • I'm from the United States! :)

Soy de los Estados Unidos! :)

  • hahaha thnks i from israel

  • I´m from Mexico but my parents are from China

  • That is SO right!!! Lol so right, that I decided I wanted to work with my favorite language the rest of my life... I'm going to be an English as a Second Language(ESL) teacher! Yes, this fall I will go to college.

  • think about changing "falsity" to "masquerade."

  • What's wrong with falsity? It is the definition I have always been taught, and a Spanish friend of mine confirmed it would be a fine translation in this context.

  • I'm sorry, I think i did this with your I'll make a man out of you as well. I'm just REALLY picky when it comes to translation. Falsity just sounds weird to me. Then again, Castilian Spanish is my specialty, so maybe we just don't understand each other.

  • It's fine, don't worry. What does "masquerade" mean though? I've never really heard of that word before.

  • a masquerade is when you pretend to be something you're not. at least, in the figurative sense.

I don´t know how to say this part in spanish lol...

I have taken the equivalent of three years of "high school level" spanish. All the middle school years only add up to about one year of high school spanish :)Because middle school spanish learning is very very very slow x__x

  • Ah you´re right! Didn´t mean to write lengua lol. It´s sort of a false cognate and I wasn´t thinking lol :P

  • thats quite alright. obviously because of my mistake, we all seem to do that [;

  • Lo confusas con la idioma portuges.

  • se dice ESCRITO no escribido!!!

  • ¿donde he escrito "escribido"?

  • Te quedo re bien la traducción ^^

I'm from Argentina..if you want I can help you with spanish (though your spanish is really good :P ) I'll be very happy lol :x

I have been studying english for 6 years and now I'm learning japanese XD

Like essuna, I found interesting that there're people who translate from spanish to english songs :x

  • Gracias!

You´re English is perfect, by the way. I hope someday I will be able to speak Spanish as well as you speak English ^__^

And if I ever need help, I'll be sure to ask! And WOW, Japanese es un idioma MUY dificil =O

    Buena suerte ^^'

  • i love the translation. i can learn english together now.

  • at these days how to make a great redaction (I think that you can see that ;) ), and I see in your commentaries that you have thought well.

    Congratulations!

  • Hi!

Well, I want to congratulate you, because I´m very estrict in the translation, and you made a good job... I only have a doubt. I think that when Mulan says "No puedo continuar esta gran falsedad", maybe the word instead of "falsity" (because I never had see that word... but of course you are the English speaker and you may know more than me) can be "lie", but its only a sugestion. "falsity" its ok, too.

I´m a mexicain girl that had been in a bilingüal shcool for 9 years but I donpt know...

  • "falsity" and "lie" are basically the same thing ^^

Thank you very much for the comment! And your english is very good! =)

  • ^^ Hey!!

Im a LatinAmerican speaker; I've been seing this vid for a couple of days. I found rly funny and interesting that there're people who translate from spanish to english songs like the ones X3

    XD I like it, rly

Although I think there're some phrases that aren't perfectly well translated, It's rly a very very good job ^^ Some people said Spanish is a very tough language, however you made a great work ;P

XD but I insist in the hilarious situation it is for me to see this kind of things

  • Thanks! Could you tell me which ones aren't perfectly translated? Then I can write in the description that they are incorrect =)

  • X) Hi!!

XD before I was posting through a friend's account XDUUU so, I'm the same girl this time XP

o.oU well, it's no the BIG mistake, but in the part "¿No sabré tal papel jamás tomar?" that question is made in a negative form, so, the trans should be "Won't I ever know how to take such a role?"

X3 And...XD well, there're some accent problems, but Im a maniac, so don't complain XDU ignorame XDU

^^U espero no haber sido una molestia!!

    X) Sayo~

  • Beautiful song. ^^

  • Nice...

  • I love this song so much! It sound so pretty in LS! =^_^=

  • I love this song..in English! :P xoxo

  • Aww thanks so much ^^;

  • I always thought that this song sounded beautiful in English, it sound even more so now.
