Thanks for posting this - another version is blocked by WMG. I've added this to my 1946 playlist (watching the movie right now). My channel is a tribute to the best of a century of music on over 700 playlists. My lists will lead you to artists like Sy Oliver & Errol Garner, whose shining stars were dimmed by the times in which they lived. There's a playlist for every year since 1900, and lists for nearly 450 different artists. chuck
@MusicandDancing4Ever Thank you forever and ever. Of course, you know I meant Suzette Harbin, not Harwin. Marie Bryant, Sheila Guyse, Helen Williams, Isabelle Cooley, Fredi Washington, Hilda Simms -- the list is long -- were jewels rare overlooked by a narrow minded public. But don't start me. Just let me thank you once more.
@MusicandDancing4Ever Thank you, Jesus. Some talented persons such as yourself, with, of course, the financial means, has done something I've "thought" about for years. Please tell me where do I go to buy it. I've within the last few months that Lena Horne's stand-in has passed. Juliette Ball, a pert looking thing, born in Alabama, was 92 at death. I might add that starlet Acquanetta is interesting on several levels. May you live 100 more years!
@MusicandDancing4Ever She certainly was. She was way ahead of her time. There was a girl who came along later that reminded me of Harbin. Marlene Clark had Harbin aristocratic features. But don't start me! Please don't! I've done my homework. And it looks as if you've done yours, for sure.
Many great memories here! And I remember all the actresses above mentioned. "Love" is a classic I remember from "Ziegfeld Follies of 1946," starring Lucille Bremer, Fred Astaire, and of host of others, including Horne. Two other actresses in the sultry category I'll mention are Acquanetta and Isabelle Cooley.
I meant in 2007

The cover was already done - in 1997 Free the Robots sampled this song for their track Jazzhole

Was that Suzette Harwin caressing the face of the soldier in the initial scene?

@ccaammiiittoo1 Suzette is the one on the left and Marie Bryant is the one on the right. Suzette is the one who takes Marie's man.
