I haven't played original xbox live. I only have vague memories of playing my brothers xbox when I was younger. But I can tell you, I wish this was something I was apart of. When the 360 servers get shut down, there will be too much memories that I have to let it go.

I'll never forget Halo 2.

Early 2005- Late 2007 were really fun years, the golden days...the best! I played king of the hill w/ random weapons, hide n seek, zombies...so much more! People were really funny ass hell, made many friends, they made comedy videos about Halo 2 lmao.

Early 2008-Mid 2009 Was a different era of Halo 2, many changes in peoples attitude towards Halo 2, it wasnt as fun because people played h3 and 360 console, n ppl takes game serious instead of just havin fun.

I wonder.........if people start tinkering with PC based servers for these games will Microsoft try to shut them down....

thats why games that are pushed for their online capabilities on any game system dont have a very long life span.

If I log into Quake 3, Jedi Knight II....hell just about any game on the PC...on my computer...I can find servers no problem...but console based online play is finished once the publisher decides to pull support...

thats such BS on the part of Microsoft.

Yeah it sucks bad, there is always the option of Xbox Connect but just like private servers for PC games the fanbase drops significantly. Only the diehard fans go to private servers. I did it for Phantasy Star Online when the servers shut down for Gamecube. Its happened to me before with specific games like Monster Hunter and Resident Evil Outbreak on PS2 so im no stranger its just the fact that this is an ENTIRE library of games going offline AT ONCE. It was bound to happen. :(
