  • One of the rare albums that every song was good. This was the music that made my college years great.

  • 2012, WHERE THE HELL ARE HONKY CHATEAU FANS?? EARLY ELTON WAS CLASSIC MUSIC !!!!!!

  • THIS IS THAT SHYT

  • If this song can't get you mellow, then you got way to much drama in your life

  • Jean-Luc Ponty does it again... God Damn

  • Haven't heard this son in years, and yet I can sing every word. Amazing!

  • yea!

  • never get tired hearing his old stuff cos I was too young in his 70s heyday and love the title

  • never get tired hearing his old stuff cos I was too young in his 70s heyday

  • this is hard to sing >_>;;;

  • Elton John and Jean-Luc Ponty...wow...

  • The bass and drums on this sound amazing, very warm and bassy.

  • @myownservant i wish it sounded this way these days, sadly, only a few know how to record drums now

  • @myownservant i love the early snare sound he always used..

  • Elton is so unbelievably good. He will go on forever cos he is so great. His music is fantastically original (up to 1975 anyway) ... and his lyrics are always so fascinating and stimulating. We need a Bernie Taupin to write lyrics for many of today's artists LOL

  • good stuff here, back from the "magical days" when Elton and Bernie were putting out music that will last a lifetime

  • "And it can't be bad, all the love I've had, coursin' through my life." Love that electric violin.

  • WOW!

  • God only knows how much i love this man, i much i love his music and how important his songs are for me........ I only wish I have the chance one day to see him playing live, he and also paul mccartney, cause you don't see a piece of heaven on earth very often!!!!...... Genius!!!!

  • Fans of early Elton but not later albums may like The Union with Leon Russell

  • Mellow, Pinky, Amoreena, Harmony......How can anybody come up with even a top ten favorite Elton John song list.

Uh, Mona Lisa's and Mad Hatters, Eldrberry Wine ........................

    I give.

  • A summertime song, for sure. 5 Sars.

  • my favorite wax!

  • Wore a groove in this one when it came out, I was soooo young UGH!

  • Mellow, one of the greatist BELLY RUBBIN songs of infinity~~~I Love YOU BERNIE~~~~~

  • This song is worth the effort to turn on my laptop. Classic. Enjoyable.

  • fantastic

  • Such great blues in these early days of ELTON. GREAT work Bernie Taupin.

  • @tiffanybean Taupin only wrote the lyrics, elton john wrote the music

  • madonna guesses the demographic , leelton stays true to only himself and his fans respect him for it. all he sells out is his lps ( not his soul).

  • rockin' the sheep real fine

  • MELLOW. How sweet this is! Great.

  • Heaven knows what you sent me lord, but God this is a mellow time...........

  • Mamma mia...sir Elton John, sei un genio...il più grande artista di ogni tempo...

  • i love elton no pop pianist better

  • To me Elton is akin to Madonna...keeping reinvented himself. Yeah I know it's not the same thing, but he is still in the mix.

  • it's not the same thing because elton john is way way wayy better than madonna

  • MADONNA!! Forever hitching her star to the wagon of the latest groove in order to keep up with the kids EVERYTIME!!!

  • For you Ninja! S. :)

  • Best Elton John album this side of Tumbleweed Connection.

  • i would have to say this, captain , or blue moves!

  • @pianoplayinman i prefer jump up or victim of love

  • @wendellgee1985 I totally agree!!

  • yes Elton you do make me mellow

  • I'm feeling pretty mellow right now

  • Che canzone... l'introduzione al pinoforte è da brivido!!! Come si fa a dire ke elton a suo tempo non è stato un genio

  • this is my favorite period in Sir Eltons music! ELTON=GOD

  • This was Elton at his very best, before he went Glitter.

  • His glitter was good too, excuse me.

  • Excellent, brilliant! 03:26 you can enjoy Jean Luc Ponty, solo violin.

  • isn't it an organ solo?

  • Sounds like a Hammond Organ, but no. Is JLP and his violin.

  • Of course is Jean Luc Ponty, EXCELENT!!!!

  • such a great song.

  • I do, actually. I'll upload it sometime soon...

  • thanks dude for uploading Sir Elton!

  • I'm guessing you don't have the alternative version of Slave? Would be cool if you did.

  • Thanks for posting these! This is a great album!

  • i agree with these positive posts...i think on whole that 'honky' is elton's best album and, my god, although i was only 4 at the time...1971 was an incredible year for brilliant english music...'hunky dory', 'honky chateau', led zep four'...the who's great double album...the family...
