  • the pipes towards the end always give me goosebumps, brilliant piece, brilliantly played! bravo :)

  • my middle school played this last year for our end of the year concert. (DMS) "Night On Bald Mountain" FTW!

  • I would come close to killing to be able to play this in my band at school

  • W.o.W. you guys r sooo good, u play hecka fast too and nail it, good job!

  • awesome, simply awesome. I may love heavy metal, but it doesn't stop me from listening to anything classical like this.

    5/5

  • Nice job! It sounds like you guys had fun playing this piece The community college band I'm playing with (flute) is also playing this, which is a lot of fun. However, we're playing the Hindsley arrangement. I hope that the musicians in this ensemble enjoy making music together as much as I do. To me, music is one of the greatest joys in life. Keep up the good work!

  • this is rlly good!

Im playing this in a youth orchestra (The original piece) and im playing 4th horn and i get all those cool undertones.

  • i was looking for night on disco mouintain but found this instead. nice to hear the original arrangement.

  • omfg, my school just played this for the winter concert. i play tenor sax. i had the awesome low part with the cool rythms, with the low brass. this was my fave peice to play ^-^

  • my middle school played an easier version. This is really good! Btw, how'd you get your video past 10 mins?

  • Director's Account

  • Accounts 2 years ago were able to do that

  • man my school (Pasadena Academy) is playing this for our spring concert.. i play trumpet.. this is awesome!

  • I just noticed... why are Gay and lesbian tags for this?

  • Because the group is made up mostly from the Gay and Lesbian Community in the Los Angeles area.

  • i played it in 6th grade, wow these are like grown ups

  • your 6th grade class sure as hell didn't sound this good honey

  • man this is sweet piece of music... love the ominous sound

  • We played this song my sophmore year...I thought I was going to die..Haha. But in the end, I made it...and it was truely amazing...I cried so hard after this concert!! Plus, playing in a full orchestra with band was amazing...anyone who can play this song correctly should have major Kudos!!

  • the classics are so psychological!

  • we are playing this in our school full orchestra.

  • We are playing this in our Highschool Band... I'd say almmost this good. :)

  • we played this at my 6th grade concert, it wasnt this intricate thought lol

  • Played too slowly.. But with good quality, so good job..

  • This is a good song and you did a great job on it, I'm trying to write a single piano arrangment for this song.

  • Oh, awesome man! I don't really think this song is possible on a single piano, but send me the sheets when you finish!

  • this song is awesome, they did a good job. but what's with the tags to this song???

  • Yes, we are also playing this in our school band. Unfortunately, we have to march it, but the one we play is arranged by John Higgins, so it is much shorter and quite different. But it still retains the memorable parts, like the low brass in the beginning.

  • i think i'm playing the same on in my school band.. without the marching though

  • this is a cool song me and my school band are playing it but the music is slower and shorter

  • i love this song im playing it in our school band

  • Very nice performance!

  • Performed very well!

  • omg, we're playing this in band right now, we all love it!!! it's beautiful! just awesome! genius really.

  • The brass section is sloppy on the entrances and the dynamics are lacking heavily in this song. However, the wood wind section is surprisingly strong in this group while the response of the brass section slows their rhythm slightly, thus slowing the momentum of the band. Overall an okay production. I recall playing this in wind ensemble in high school, very difficult piece, I can't imagine trying to perfect it in a college schedule. Keep it up :)

  • a college wind ensemble should be able to sight read this nearly perfectly

  • I'll take that as a compliment since we are a community group with barely 2 hours rehearsal time per week!

  • congrats then :]. the comment was acutally directed to the person above me who said "i can't imagine trying to perfect it in a college schedule". but good job

  • If you are not in orchestra then you have no idea how hard it can be to sight read a piece if you aren;t well trained at sight reading and even if you are it can still be very hard

  • Yes, very hard indeed as this song is hard.

  • Are you a band director or what? I thought it sounded good.

  • I love this so much...im gonna scare my kids with it hehe

  • i'm going to be play this song in my honors band in april :D

  • Beautiful.

  • mussorgsky was just a genius

  • this song is perfect!

    beauty =)

  • the clarinet and flute solos at the end are heavenly... i remember i heard my friend play the clarinet solo when our band played this song last year. i almost cried! haha
