how did you train your bunny to walk?

my bunny is nearly 10months, can i still train him to do it?

@ArtAliveOnline Yes you can still train him. As he gets older he will stand up to look around. That is when you offer him a raisin or craisin as a treat. Then slowly he will walk. It also depends on how big he is. If he is a large breed rabbit he may not be able to walk because of his weight but you can teach him to at least stand.

Please do no purchase a rabbit. Go to a shelter and save a life. They are great pets for the right household.

@kibblesmom1 I adopted my bunny. She had a very bad home, but that didn't affect her one bit. She's the best bunny anyone could wish for. I agree, go to a shelter insted of buying a bunny. It's much better :)

i hope you realize that even if you buy a bunny you are still saving its life. many bunnies that are unwanted at stores get executed, and bunnies in pet stores had hard lives too, i BOUGHT my bunny and she is the best thing thats happened to me, she is sooo sweet and loving , i have a white and black dutch who just turned 1. ( i got her at 7 weeks )

@shasha8227 True...but being in the rescue business I see so many that were purchased then thrown away. They are abused or neglected. As long as a life is saved that is the main thing.

rabbit.org has links to some good programs that rescue adult shelter rabbits and bunnies from bunny factorys the goverment shut down.

If you want to get one from a pet store thats okay too. An unbought petstore bunny is just as doomed as a shelter rabbit. The only way your not saving them from from a short boring life in a small pin is catching a wild rabbit witch is just wrong.

Just make sure a rabbit is the right pet for you if you JUST want it because its cute get a kitten.
