See see rider was a great remake by the The Animals. The infusion of rock-n-roll into this song is just amazing. Look at the kids just dancing away and having fun. Thanks Eric and The Animals.
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy & paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die
@nnsrj you should paste it to at least five videos of lady gaga, hannah montana, owl city, jonas brothers, justin bieber or taylor swift.... people watching this video already know good music :-)
You do realise that moving your jaw is a great way of helping you keep the rhythm, like tapping your foot? And even if it was gum - hell, that's one of the coolest bands on Earth you're talkin about, they could have worn pink slippers and bunny ears and they still would have been hip:D
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
Know I love you C.C and I want you by my side C. C. Rider baby, gonna be satisfied...."
C. C. Rider is a drug company; it's name appeared on syringes. This is a reference to the love a man has for his syringe. In the 60's there was a lot of " in" drug & sex messages in music. There was a hell of a lot of censorship. You have no idea. Yet sex & drugs were more available.
@TamarZucker thanks for the info!!! i didn't know but i think it's better to talk about sex and drugs in a song like this one then in a song like..nowadays music..this song is so full of emotions and i love when he says "and i won't be back at all" lol i love to say it when i'm in a mood with someone..i say "go to listen to see see rider , you'll know how i feel.."..anyway thank you for those usefull info
The info I found: "This is a Blues standard first recorded by Ma Rainey, whose version hit #12 in 1925 as "See See Rider Blues." The "C.C. Rider," also known as "See See Rider" or "Easy Rider," is a Blues cliché for the sexual partner, although originally it referred to the guitar hung on the back of the traveling bluesman. (thanks, Patrick - Port Arthur, TX)"
@lisalisavids May not be in business any more but was ordinary pharmaceutical company around in 1960s like Lily, Sandoz , or Burroughs Wellcome Co..Saw this syringe around all the time, doctors, hospitals, junkies, honest. . CC Ryder logo was on their syringe.like Wrangler on jeans or Nike on sneakers. But you are right I can't find it on internet either . Now I am curious too why I can't find anything..Thanks for telling me. If I do find reference I will try to get back to you.
Call me what you want but why is that nobody is making music like this any more? Just to think that they were doing this way back in 1966. Wow!!! Wow!!!
@yustinusb54 Yes thank you for the newsflash that Elvis, James Burton and hard workin Ronnie Tutt are a little better than Eric Burdon and the Animals. This is still a damn fine performance.
thanks milka1538 i will give his solo albums a listen too when I return from venezuela I,ve been a fan of the animals when I first heard When I Was Young a long time ago when I was a boy
@roadappleband Eric said when they were in australia they had people bothering them because they had long hair so they just stay in the hotel and take LSD .
Ok, I love the Beatles and Eric Burdon. But you should not be comparing apples to oranges. It would be more appropriate to compare the Animals to the Stones--and Eric to Mick. Those two bands are more blues based than the Beatles, and have two comparable frontmen. I would say Eric wins that competition--despite the Rolling Stones popularity, Eric was much more soulful, and had a better voice.
I will se E.B and Animals next week on rock festival (togeather with C. Santana and S. Burke)..but fuck Santana and Burk, im going because Eric Burdon and Animals!!!
look son these are Musicians, how good is this statement mate, before any budding wanna be muso hits his or her 1st note, they should play this song to them then followed by your comment, well done mate....we all got fight back and save our kids and stop the music killing spree, damm whats going on??

all you soft plastic bands out there, if your wondering why its all so soft today?? here,s your answer boys, get down and get dirty and get into the rythem like we did all those years ago,,Jesus man Burdons music and other Rockers is a big part of solution to cure the lack lustre we have toooo much of today, fk it,this is the real deal Steel!!!!
you got that right mate, spot on,how bad are the bands today, i mean if half of them tried to do a gig like this they would melt, just hard to get the goods these days in music, what the hells going on???Music corperates are nothing but CONTROL FREAKS, look what they did to SLADE over there time, turned them into butter, its to hard, its too loud, its too fast, and the kids are having too much fun, so lets ruin it for the teens!!!
I 100% + agree with bothof you flat and barn! I'm having the HARDEST time finding decent music to listen to and those poor kids listening to the garbage DARE call this music nothing because it existed long before they were born. Somebody did correct me it's not the feelings of all kids born after '83 but it's sadly the majority and it is the corps fault making the garbage be all and everything else is nothing and should be ignored. UNFAIR!!!
moxie96, yes and thanks, i would like to take 200 young 18 year olds out to a blues/rockabilly night at the Empire hotel 1 sat night, it will blow them away and change a lot of them towards MUSIC, DAMM the CORPS they really shit me to tears JUSTIFYING their JOBS today, what a lame lame lame situation, no MAGIC like by gone days thats for sure, but i still get to see some of this old stuff even today, just got to know where to go,we are lucky in sydney, some real hot old style bands arround,C YA!!
There's nobody from the original Animals here except Burdon. Although very famous throughout the 60s and 70s, he never did any great records like the original band who were very influential all over the world and inspired thousands to pick up electric guitars and drums and do their own thing, which is what R&R is about, unlike the tribute and cover bands who are all the rage nowadays...
This may not show off the great vocal range of Eric but it does show he was born for R&B. The Animals are really showing what a great band they are. No lip sync. here baby! Yeah
JUST MADE IT... In 1966 "See See Rider" peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 10 weeks in the Top 100...
This was the group's 1st record were they had a name change; from 'The Animals" to "Eric Burton and The Animals'...
Three other artists have charted with this song; Chuck Willis {#12/1957}, LaVern Baker {#34/1963}, and Bobby Rydell {#76/1966}
This song was featured in Mitch Ryder's 1965 record "Jenny Takes A Ride", it reached No. 10...
