i have a problem with my pen tool :/ whenever i draw like a curve the next line automatically has like an anchor point and results in another massive curve :/ any help...?

hey question, when doing that 3D effect do you just pick one point and have everything from the tips of the letters go towards that one point? I looks way better then putting it in cinema 4D. I was just curious.
