excellent way to put the responsibility on each individual, if your a gun toting American citizen then just follow the Law's of the Land and do it right so that, we all can continue to excerice our constitutionally protected rights, to defend our selves or our family or friends if need be. but like travis said. no rambo's or heroes or show off's or glory hunters need apply.. just regular folk with wisdom, and sobriety, and common sense.. Semper-fi! travis
Very well said. I see it numerous time at gun shops all these people going for the baddest biggest guns with lasers flashlights rail systems fuzzy dice and what not. Little do they know a magazine wont last but a couple a seconds and then its all over.
I love the name Panteao. A regular person would get teased for having a last name like that or teacher. Some how Travis makes a word like panteao cool.
Hey Travis, could you explain further what you mean about not being a hero? How can you have a higher standard of care, and become an asset to society without becoming someones hero if you had to draw to protect them?
@FireFighterChen I'm pretty sure what he's trying to say is that you shouldn't go out looking to become a hero, or expect to be considered one if something does happen. While that very well may be the case, people that carry need to exercise humility and restraint--after all, every shot you take is a potential criminal charge, whether you were trying to help or not.
I think he is trying to get at the idea that reasonable people don't carry with the intent of becoming heroes, we do it to ensure that if the need ever arises, we are able to protect the lives of ourselves and others. While this may very well be considered heroic, that isn't what it is about. It's about the immediate need to survive the situation.
so this is him away from magpul and chris
