@mengle2004 Because to make a KITT Edition Trans-Am would've been impossible because the KITT dashboard design is a property of Universal Studios (who previously was a headache to Pontiac over the Bandit Edition Trans-Am. Another thing too is that the red LED scanner lens would've gotten General Motors a lot of heat from law enforcement. It would'nt have taken much for a hardass cop to mistake a Knight Rider fan for somebody impersonating a police officer.
I read where Edward (devon) never got married. He was always doing theather or teaching overseas. He was a very smart man from what I read in his bio: Nobodys knows how many Trans Am's they used during Knight rider?
As far as 'Hero cars' are concerned they probably only used...4-5. I'm guessing. But as far as stunt-cars go...they probably lost count as to how many were used and totaled.
Mr. MJ knight07: Great sum up! The new knight show is not as good. They made it like Team Knight a little. That show as a disaster. They should have used david Hassoff in the new Knight to take the place of devon and focused on mission oversees. What do you think?
Honestly? I think the series should have just stuck with the team at the end of the SG Pilot- rather than the Secret Service-esque styled assembly in the series.
Great memories of 80's Las Vegas from the Knight Rider Goliath episode. For the New Knight Rider, they should have sent Kit and Michael to do missions in places like North Korea, Iraq, and Afganistan.
I always wanted to ask David Hasslehoff how he felt when he played Garth Knight in Golith of the Season 2. You know it's David right away. I always wanted to ask him that question when David played Garth Knight in Golith. David had to change his voice to act evil and where a mustach and sideburns with a cane. He did a great job playing a bad person. It's sad that Patricia Mcpherson was fired for season 2 because David was very upset when Patricia was fired but she was back for season 3 and 4.
Season 2 was defo Knight Rider's best out of the 4. As lots of you have said Robert Foster indeed helped the show along behind the scenes. I also felt Don Peake did some of his finest music scores in this season too.
No doubt, Season 2 of Knight Rider was a real high point for the show. As you guys have said Robert Foster had alot to do with that. One other person i felt that had alot to do with it was music man Don Peake. Season 2 i think featured some of his best scores of the Series.
I agree. Foster held that show completly together and made it much more serious. I beleive it would have been cancelled had Larson not left, as he was making mistakes he had made with "Galactica". Had he been given a year to prepare, we'd have seen more from him on the level of the legendary pilot, which stands as probably the best american pilot next to Star Trek's "The Cage" and BSG's "Saga of a Star World"
Two words made Knight Rider reach another level in a new season, "Robert Foster".
I believe with Glen's departure, it was Robert Foster who had the forsight and the talent to keep the franchise engine running. Robert pulled out as many stops as he could manage and even with SPM they squeezed out one more season before the final curtain. I mention this because Goliath was his debut really as exec producer.
He's the man behind the scenes who carried on the dream and I thank him for it.
Why wouldn't Pontiac want people showing up wanting to buy a car?

Why did Devon need to die in 'Knight Rider 2000', anyways?...: :( .

Apparently Edward wanted to cut down on his schedule in real life, so he asked to be written out.
But, I don't think that was quite the way he wanted.

Dear MJKnight:
I like the opening where you mention Michael Jackson, one of the many people from my era whos work I'll never, ever forget.
(**R.I.P., Michael Jackson.; 1958-2009.**.).

I did that look back nearly a year ago.
Never thought nearly a year later that he'd be sadly no longer with us.
