Well I'm posting this, I have never worn a purity ring, I received a lot of pressure (especially from christians I knew) to wear one, but I never gave in to it. There were a lot of christian girls I knew trying to use their little feminen whiles and said "Don't you want to be pure," or "don't you want to wait?" I thought about giving in and enslaving Myself to it, but My Mom spoke to Me about it and told Me not to give in and to make My own choices, and I'm proud to say I don't wear one.

I don't know why I'm posting this, but I just have to say it. I used to were a purity ring, and people would always ask me if I was married. It was a great way to start a conversation, but a lot of people picked on me. One day this guy told me that I should stop wearing it because no guy would ever like me if I was wearing it. I was so young and vulnerable, I took off the ring. I'm proud to say that I'm wearing my ring again, and it's because of of these three girls.

Im a little bit confused about the dating part. If they don't date, then how do they know who to marry because, you can't just pick him up off the street.. and i understand that its not just dating every guy but they made a commitment not to date so its kind of confusing. guys, this purity thing is a decision. God has called them to live their lives this way..who are we to judge? i am a christian and i've decided to take a stand on purity myself. because i'm tired of seeing girls that are so distracted by their boyfriends, they're missing out on life! plus i've had my heart broken way to many times, God showed me that i didn't have to feel that way, and i've never felt more fulfilled.

I at first heard this purity, no dating thing when I read 'I kissed dating goodbye' by Josh Harris and his sequel, 'Boy meets Girl' and totally agree with it and now after hearing you all talk on this subject a lot through your videos
A parable that I use to explain to my friends about why I don't date is that in a way, we're betrothed to that person God has for us, but I try not to shove it down their throuts, thats when the stop listening.

There's nothing wrong w/ eating out or watching a movie together, as you said. (As long as they're actually WATCHING the movie, which is not why many dating couples go to the movies.) I would HIGHLY recommend the book I Kissed Dating Goodbye to explain this viewpoint.
Dating concentrates on the romantic aspect of the relationship, which can keep one from getting a clear idea of who the other person really is (this isn't always the case, but it's much more likely than if ppl. are just friends).

Okay, they state that they won't date until marrige? How does that make any sense. They're are over billions of men and women out there. How will you find that person without the effort or trying to find that person? How do you filter that? just hope to "God" (no pun intended) that he or she just plops into your lap. Proof that purity is bad is that before I came along, (very flawed and impure Agnostic), the comments here were very boring, all in aggreement, me an impure contaminant have liven things up. People here have type more words in response to me than they have to this video. I have made you put more effort into your thinking.

Purity is sterile life is not like that. For example, a river that is pure with no sediments or organic material in it will support little life, a river that the water is not pure, that has impurities in it supports lots of life.
Secondly this purity thing that is going on in the U.S. is not working, teenage girls in the U.S.A. have a higher rate of teen pregnancies & sexual transmitted disease than other western nations. It is causing more problems for teenage girls it is not solving any.

I would love to explain this to you. They don't date, but they don't like avoid all contact with guys. They have tons of friends that are guys, they wanna get to know a guy without dating him. These girls are such an insparation. I love there music and there attitudes. It is also really cool that they don't date. That they are willing to give up dateing for God. They are absalutly amazing.

I don't know why I'm posting this, but I just have to say it. I used to were a purity ring, and people would always ask me if I was married. It was a great way to start a conversation, but a lot of people picked on me. One day this guy told me that I should stop wearing it because no guy would ever like me if I was wearing it. I was so young and vulnerable, I took off the ring. I'm proud to say that I'm wearing my ring again, and it's because of of these three girls.

There's nothing wrong w/ eating out or watching a movie together, as you said. (As long as they're actually WATCHING the movie, which is not why many dating couples go to the movies.) I would HIGHLY recommend the book I Kissed Dating Goodbye to explain this viewpoint.
Dating concentrates on the romantic aspect of the relationship, which can keep one from getting a clear idea of who the other person really is (this isn't always the case, but it's much more likely than if ppl. are just friends).

Purity is sterile life is not like that. For example, a river that is pure with no sediments or organic material in it will support little life, a river that the water is not pure, that has impurities in it supports lots of life.
Secondly this purity thing that is going on in the U.S. is not working, teenage girls in the U.S.A. have a higher rate of teen pregnancies & sexual transmitted disease than other western nations. It is causing more problems for teenage girls it is not solving any.

No one should ever be desperate god. You should beleieve in him if it's what you wish. But never be desperate for him, hold your head high. It's your life, not his. They're your decision, not his. If you think he will guide you he will, but don't ask him permission. He will forgive you if you beleieve he will. I am personally not Christian. But, I am saying, you should never be desperate for him, you should hold your own head up and make it through with his help, not his permission.

no you should be desperate for him and infact you are whether you realize it or not. you know that empty feeling on the inside of you that you replace with boys, money, sex, ect, ect?? Well that empty longing feeling is for God. And when they say "desperate" for him, thats a good thing! seriously, you know I was an atheist (by my desision not parents)a year ago and i was always desperate for something, but i didnt know wat. then i became a christian agan and i realized that i was desprte for god

you need to be desperate for Him! Man he created us, He died for us, if not for Him, none of us would be here! So um yeah, He does have the say in our lives. You can make your own decisions, but only cuz God gave us free will. But if you truly want to live like Him, honor Him, you will be desperate for Him, seek Him in all you do. I could go on, but i won't. Bottom line, if you don't like BG don't watch the videos, but don't watch them just to dis them.

For those people out there that believe all paths lead to the same place and everyone can believe anything they want, why do you have any issues with this? I mean if everything is relative how can you condemn them for believe what they do. The best that you can do, that is if you want to maintain consistency in your own thoughts, is to say you disagree and leave it at that.

wow, really, no they're not. Have you ever tried surrendering yourself to God when you are broken, cuz if not then I'm guessing you're still broken cuz there's no other way. And the whole dating thing, it's THEIR choice! They aren't saying that's how everyone has to be..it's just what God has called them to do and I think it's amazing!

I like their music though,I don't agree with what they say in this vid.I believe u have to work to meet the person ur supposed to be with n not just wait for God to place him on ur lap.N I also believe that we can date.That doesn't necessarily lead to sex.I do agree that if u don't want that to occur u should go out in groups or not be alone in comprimising situations.The clothes thing is so true. Clothes r ridiculous now. Though, me getting bigger doesn't help the situation.LOL

Yes I truely believe that all women are like that, they are the only women I have ever known and I have known many, many women.
