Sonic Unleashed night time levels are not button mashers unless you want them to be, there is a lot of combo's to unlock. This is probably the best sonic game on an HD console out. Its day time levels are much harder and funner than Sonic Generations levels. But that's just my opinion.

Normally I like your reviews, but this one just does the game no justice. I have it for the Wii, (the highest rated version) and I think it's great. Sonic is all about speed. His gameplay is supposed to be like that. As for the werehog, I agree that the Sonic stages are better, but I still enjoy these. I don't think they're clunky at all. Maybe you're just not used to this type of game. Also, the hub worlds in this version are quick and easy to use. I'd give it about an 8/10
@JaysPlace20 i have the ps3/xbox360 version and its much better you can now have better graphics, better gamplay controls and although the werehog is not perfect it still has some cool combos and less of those levels, so maybe you should check it out?
@DonteGameReviews I'll think about it, but I'm not sure I want to shell out an additional $18 or so just to have a different version of a game I already own. Like I said, the Wii version got higher ratings, the controls work just fine for me, and (despite not being in HD) the game still looks great. Plus it supports 3 different controller types. I am, however, interested in the extra levels the PS3 version has. Maybe I'll give it a try at some point down the road

Sonic Unleashed is very underatted.I can understand if the Wii version gets a low score.But the Xbox 360 version is awesome and it brings back the glory days of Sonic.Werhog is a bit tedious but not awful.
the wii version is pretty much the same as the 360 version. using the wiimote and nunchuk sucks, but you can use a gamecube controller instead. and i know the graphics aren't HD, but that's not enough to reduce the score by 3.
actually the wii/PS2 version is fairly diferent from the 360/PS3 version, with lots of diferent stages, and the wii/PS2 version doesn't have the hub worlds

Its like I was saying to your friend AdamDMagdaleno there are many good reasons the Wii version got better reviews. Mostly by getting rid of some of the stuff most people didn't like in the 360 version like the sun and moon meddles, hub world, and the tornado level to name a few.
The way I hear it the wii version got better reviews. The only complaint the wii version got was the warehog.
The 360 and PS3 goes like this. The camera was to close, it was almost to fast to control (to much flash not enough substance), the hub world was bad and unnecessary, the tornado levels, and the sun and moon medals.
SEGA was sold to Nintendo not Microsoft remember no shit their games are better on their own platform and if I spend money on this game I'm getting the Wii version.

I'm confused as to what Sega's trying to do these days. Somehow they're trying to implement Adventure's old gameplay, but they're taking it the wrong way a lot lately.

The 360 version was just pour with a really challenging run around with the Hedgehog, but the Werehog was slow, clunky and repetative: 3/10!
The Wii version cures those problems however there is less verity in in level locations. The Werehog is better on Wii then 360 in every single way. 7/10
why do all the reviewers hate this game? It was my first game for the 360, and I love it! I think it deserves at least a 9/10, it loses a point because of (not the werehog, you big babies. Just deal with it.) some of the issues I had in the daytimes, (I thought that the boost, homing attack, and air boost should've been assigned different buttons.) Also, that airplane thing is SHITTY! when i was around 9 or 8, my mom pulled out her old sega genesis, and all i would do was play sonic. when the gamecube came out and i lost interest in that thing, it was unfortunately swallowed up and ive been unable to locaate it. Playing all the recent sonic games that have come out, have really made me wish i kept that gensis with me at all times. pretty much all of them have been rubbish, i didnt even bother playing this. i think it deserves nothing. they need to work harder on these games.

@DonteGameReviews I'll think about it, but I'm not sure I want to shell out an additional $18 or so just to have a different version of a game I already own. Like I said, the Wii version got higher ratings, the controls work just fine for me, and (despite not being in HD) the game still looks great. Plus it supports 3 different controller types. I am, however, interested in the extra levels the PS3 version has. Maybe I'll give it a try at some point down the road

i really dont agree with this guy.......he says that the werehog was terrible but that is not true......he was put in the game for a reason he was put in there for the effect of those in an younger gamers, the ones who like to break smash and claw stuff . and the fact that you cant get all the rings in a row is also put there purposely, the game is meant to make it harder. true the werehog is not the best but hes not terrible i would rate him okay. my rating for this game is 6 1/2 out of 10

his reviews are good, but this one sucks. there is NO way that sonic unleashed is worse than the black knight. in fact, unleashed is great compared to the crappy black knight. plus, even hilary goldstein (ign reviewer for 360/PS3 version) admits that the speedy hedgehog levels are awesome!
to be honest, i don't think that any of the sonic games are awful, except the 2006 one for 360 and PS3.

Sonic Unleashed is very underatted.I can understand if the Wii version gets a low score.But the Xbox 360 version is awesome and it brings back the glory days of Sonic.Werhog is a bit tedious but not awful.

the wii version is pretty much the same as the 360 version. using the wiimote and nunchuk sucks, but you can use a gamecube controller instead. and i know the graphics aren't HD, but that's not enough to reduce the score by 3.

Its like I was saying to your friend AdamDMagdaleno there are many good reasons the Wii version got better reviews. Mostly by getting rid of some of the stuff most people didn't like in the 360 version like the sun and moon meddles, hub world, and the tornado level to name a few.

The way I hear it the wii version got better reviews. The only complaint the wii version got was the warehog.
The 360 and PS3 goes like this. The camera was to close, it was almost to fast to control (to much flash not enough substance), the hub world was bad and unnecessary, the tornado levels, and the sun and moon medals.
SEGA was sold to Nintendo not Microsoft remember no shit their games are better on their own platform and if I spend money on this game I'm getting the Wii version.

I'm confused as to what Sega's trying to do these days. Somehow they're trying to implement Adventure's old gameplay, but they're taking it the wrong way a lot lately.
If they just look at the schematics of Adventure and then try to rehash it without giving Sonic some sort of over-the-top gimmick, then maybe ... maybe ...
Are they using the same level designer or something? If so, I don't know what to tell you.

I can easily forgive the Werehog stages because I think that they are pretty fun if you don't care about the time limit and platforming.
I absolutely adore the daytime stages and I'm amazing at them.

Sure, the hubworlds aren't too impressive, but the daytime stages, nightime stages and cutscenes totaly make up 4 it. Sonic more than satisfied ME, but whether he did YOU is pretty obvious by now. The 360 version was just pour with a really challenging run around with the Hedgehog, but the Werehog was slow, clunky and repetative: 3/10!
The Wii version cures those problems however there is less verity in in level locations. The Werehog is better on Wii then 360 in every single way. 7/10

when i was around 9 or 8, my mom pulled out her old sega genesis, and all i would do was play sonic. when the gamecube came out and i lost interest in that thing, it was unfortunately swallowed up and ive been unable to locaate it. Playing all the recent sonic games that have come out, have really made me wish i kept that gensis with me at all times. pretty much all of them have been rubbish, i didnt even bother playing this. i think it deserves nothing. they need to work harder on these games.

id give it 6/10, but the main reason it's not higher is the night time stages (surprise!).. daytime stuff is really fun (though it's a little annoying that you have to memorize each level to really be good at it) but the night time... the worst platforming and the worst hack n slash-ish fighting i've ever played, and that's saying a lot... the fact that half of this game is so horrible leads me to actually believe those rumors that Sonic Team wants Sonic to die out... old sonic fan btw
