This sounds a lot like it was based on my remix on VGMusic. I noticed that even some of the inaccuracies were replicated. Overall, though, it sounds pretty nice.
Okay, I really like it; calm yet epic. Imagen this being jammed out after a football game...or an epic life or death battle with a genetically altered psycho with a long ass sword who was destined to destroy mankind and bring the declining world to the promised land! ^_^
@jvandle - um, I think the slight out-of-tune-ness and distortion gives it's style, and this song don't need Vibrato -,- Btw this song is awesome, so is Clash on the Big Bridge, and of course the rest are awesome also.
I love this song, I bought a Casio when I was young and wanted to learn to play a song, I download the sheet music for this and looked everything up online, after about 2 weeks I learned to bang this song out on a keyboard.
May not seem impressive to a musician , but I had no idea what sheet music meant.
In a way I prefer to hear the calm (no pun intended) songs done like this than the action ones. A rock version of a battle theme is fairly typical, this, Aerith's Theme and Gerudo Valley are much more interesting. Keep it up!
It's beautiful but the lead guitar sounds a bit choppy. It could've done with a little more sliding rather than picking every individual note as it does make the song seem awfully harsh for something so soft.
We struggled with this for a long time ourselves, and we know it's not as smooth as it could've been. The problem on this track is that the kind of setting you need to punch through the (semi heavy) section at the end doesn't lend itself well to sliding a tune like this, which meant there was a trade off for the sound...
The opening phrases were initially on something else, and if you listen really carefully you can hear a piano backing up the final 'chorus' when it all gets heavier after the guitar slide... so yeah, a bit. It's a pain, really. Next track is much easier for us.

Guitar is a bit too distorted and slightly out of tune in spots. Could use some vibrato in there too, sounds a little dry.
Otherwise its pretty cool.

This is by far my favorite version of this song. ^_^
The sound is beautiful, and I can easily get in a Final Fantasy mood listening to it. =)
At some points, the main guitar playing the melody gets a little ear-piercing, but not enough to really ruin the song. ^_^
It's an awesome composition, and among some of your other pieces, it's on my main iTunes playlist. =)

That's fair enough. And hey, at the end of the day it is your sound :)
I don't suppose part of this "struggling for a long time" included experimenting with different instruments besides guitar as well, did it?
