Jim is confused with the definition of faith. He seems to be equating hope and faith. Faith is more than hope, faith is trusting in something after experiencing it's evidences. Hope is desiring something even if there is no evidence that your desire will be fulfilled. In the big picture faith and hope are very different.
At least that guy isn't trying to skew reality, so props for that. But to me, choosing a faith still comes down to "Which of all the craziest ideologies speaks to me the most?" In response to what the atheist believes about the Bible, it's not just a belief, it's the most rational. Saying it's just what one believes lowers the bar for what counts as rational. (imho. good video though.)
Different people have different views on what is the most "rational". I used to come from an agnostic view where I believed there is noway I can know what the "truth" is which I could say is more rational. As mentioned in the video, I have some personal experiences which lead me to see things from my point of viewa. I can only account for these experiences myself. For me "ideology that speak to me the most" is not the case. I do not mean to belittle you, I do understand your point of view.
