  • We ALL did stuff like this when we were kids. Think how lucky most of us were.....

  • My friend, who was trapped in a fire and burned extensively, said that he COULDN'T drop and roll when he was first set on fire, b/c every logical, rational thought left his mind the second he started burning.

One of his co-workers helped him, someone who died before coming out.

He used to work in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. His burns today look like someone who got them during a war.

  • the lesson never leave children unsupervised!!!!

  • I think the parents should of checked them for matches and made sure they wouldn't of played with them. But hey, their alive and were happy. :D

  • This accident could have been preventable if the matches and gasoline had been locked up

  • And this is why dumb kids should NEVER play with matches.

  • I know the parkers personally just hung out with Kell a week ago its hilarious to see him rockin the mullet hahaha

  • Those boys should never, evver use a gas can, those boys should've used their heads.

  • once my baby cousin learns to talk clearly and understand words, i'll teach her this-stop drop and roll

  • Back......BOOM!! lol!!

  • how do they reenact this stuff? especially the parts with the fire, this is before they had fancy computer generated effects fire.

  • @SpiderRider3 They had a stuntman with a fireproof suit.

  • sick he has a skateboard ramp in his backyard!

  • poor kid. I wonder how he's doing now? he's probably around 30 now.

  • Wow. Just wow. A tank of gas just to get a fire in a model volcano?

  • Whats the first episode?

  • I loved this show I watched it 6-9 years old

  • The redheaded guy in the beggining also acted in another episode called "Freeway the Fawn"

  • 2:24 is the moment that make everything think "Woah! Didn't see that coming!"

  • flash fire. this happened one in our garage as kids.. The fumes from gas make it highly explosive. i miss this show

  • Rescue 911 was an awesome show. It was nice and simple and no show, in my opinion, will ever live up to this great simpleness of life emergencies again!!

  • what he say at 2:25 ?

  • "if i didnt roll him over he probably would of died"

  • right when i hear valcano i figured out how the kid ended up on fire

  • the kid who rolled him is a hero. it could have been so much worse.

  • I'll never forget this episode.

  • Now, that's a fiery volcano

  • why couldn't they give him anything for the pain?

  • @pillowcase97 The pain meds can depress breathing, and if he goes into shock he could stop breathing.

  • @pillowcase97 EMT's are not authorized to give pain meds unless a doctor approves, because he could have a reaction to the pain meds.

  • @pillowcase97 Painkillers suppress breathing so they are especially dangerous for a badly injured person.

  • When I was in school I learned a song to go with Stop Drop and Roll. I still remember it to this day.

  • omg i remeber watching these when they first came out i want them to bring it to dvd now!!!! bring rescue 911 to dvd ppl!!!!!

  • 2:25 for some reason it looks funny how the kid flys!

  • this was very painful to watch D:

  • i watched this show when i was three years old. i loved it!

  • 2:59 lol nice hair dude

  • I Think Those Boys Should've Have Adult Supervision.

  • matches+gasoline+kids=never a good result. my mom was caught in a chicken coop fire as a result of her brothers trying to play with gasoline and fire

  • That exact hospital is about 15 minutes from my house

  • I also know if you catch fire after you roll around you should remove any clothing on you exept if you have any clothing that is burned into the skin because that can increase the pain and make it worse.

  • My friend was set on fire, but he never talks about what it felt like.

He was working in Tower 1 as a broker on September 11, 2001.

The only thing he's ever said about it is that he'd just pulled out two profiles and was waiting for his first appointment to arrive when a blast sounded and shook the building from side to side. A fireball set him on fire, which he said suddenly appeared from nowhere.

He's got the worst scars I've ever seen, and some of his fingers had to be amputated.

  • @vickiormindyb That is another reason I wish rescue 911 was still on. So they could do a special dedicated to the heroes of 9/11

  • i love to see how much ems has changed over the years. we no longer keep patients soaked in water and not giving analgesic medications would in most cases be unthinkable, down right brutality. it reminds me that we are atleast moving in the right direction.

  • i wonder what his "results" were?

  • Did U Notice at 318 He Was smiling

  • Geez, when will kids learn NOT to play with matches?!

  • After he recovers...

    Mom: what did granmda do???

Kid: she was staring at me with her mouth wide open

Kid who saved the other kids life: yea she didnt do any shit and i had to push this dumbass who didnt know how to stop dorp and roll

  • Today Jacob is 32 and Kale is 30.

  • The fire starts at 2:24.

  • *facepalm* kids will be kids/boys will be boys. what can you do

  • Strangely enough, I used to live in Pasadena, Texas.

  • Bahaha. I dunno why the line "Kale was rushed to a nearby parking lot," is so amusing to me. Just in that split second between that and the rest of the sentence, when I was like, "Wait, what?"

  • your title sounds like the chorus to a dmx track

  • this is my earliest memory of this show, when was this 89?

  • @kreed82 This episode first aired in April of 1990.

  • @allgood2000 was it lighter boy or nighter boy was aloud to use matches?

  • @kreed82 Mine too. Stupid boys! It would never have happened if they'd kept away from that stuff. And yes it was '89 not '90.

  • No shit, I think we can all tell they use actors for this show, even though it says that at the beginning of a bunch of episodes, and nice mullets lol

  • thats why you should never play with gasoline or fire

  • How cool, a skateboard ramp in their back yard? Thats awsome.

  • When did kids become so stupid? I seriously don't get it

  • uh-oh.

  • the other boy should be spanked the shit off.

sorry saying this but there's nothing more dumb than such an action

  • what stupid kids, SMH

  • Poor boy I hope he's ok

  • EPIC

  • why are people so confused about re-enacting? ITS ACTING out a real story, just like any other acting!

  • that was crazy

  • And... the is why you should never play with fire or gas without an adult

  • What happened to the second one with the older boy

  • OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!! @ 2:25

  • lmfao he's on fire quick rush him to the parking lot!!!! lol

  • why did the Ems pour water on him

  • why do the people who play these roles look exactly like the real people

  • @gfinn08 Sometimes they are the real people. The victims are usually actors, but the rescuers almost always play themselves.

  • "i was washin' dishes."

  • dumb granny help them stupid

  • I never did believe what's on Rescue 911, because they're recording them and how do they know something bad is about to happen? It's like they're making them do those bad things on purpose....Because if it was really an Emergency, the person who's recording them would've helped.

  • who is that?

  • Thank God his rat tail was unharmed...

  • 1988 that is a long time ago the boys are now young men and have a family and kids

  • 4:06

    Blue police car?

  • this episode is funny lol. stupid kids

  • One does feel great pity for the child, but they really are not one who seems to even care about safe behavior.

First playing with matches, then pouring gasoline on a fire, then when the whole thing is over, he rides a bicycle with no helmet. Which is not only dangerous, but illegal.

To their credit, they did know what to do when on fire.

  • Thats why i dont never play with matches!! LOLLOLOL

  • that was not special effects thay actually burned him lol

  • his friend was so nice 2 ROLL him over on the ground 2 STOP the FIRE! =D but he was stil pretty STUPID 2 make up that idea in the 1st place.

  • here's a segment that's not up here the one that takes place on president's day and the kids have a day off from school.

  • shut up guys rescue 911 a little sucks when go find the ant sand house and put thousands fire and put the gasoline in then suddenly a very extreme extreme extreme extreme double double double double explosion.

  • why the hell would you pour gas on fire anyway..dumbass kids!!!

  • What part of fake volcanoes don't they understand?

  • In 1988, I was in kindergarten and Andrew my younger brother was still in preschool. We were growing up in Arizona.

  • So if your car catches on fire. when the fire gets to the gasoline does that mean your car will explode? Srry idk im just wondering(:

  • At 2:25 I say "Oh my gosh". That was one big flame and he was screaming like crazy.

  • Who would do a stupid thing like that?

  • Bar-B-Que-ed

  • What happened to the fire burning up the backyard? 2:54

  • OMG! I CAN'T SEE THIS! :'(§

  • thats what happens to idiots!

  • they look cooler with out the poni tail in the back

  • Use matches or a lighter NOT GASOLINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I played with Gasoline......

    ;]

  • Allgood, you said that gasoline is a liquid and not a gas. Do you suppose some of the commentators think it's a gas because it has the word gas in it?

  • Use a lighter not gasoline.

  • No one ever remembers stop, drop, and roll when they are on fire now. Xd

  • -.- Dumbass.

  • poor boy i hope that hasnt given him a bad fear of fire now...stuff like that can haunt you

  • you are right

  • wow... kid gets burned cause he was playing with gasoline, then, of course once hes all better, he decides hell go ride his bike without a helmet... gee WHAT A RETARD watch at 8:23

  • it was 1990 no one wore a helmet while riding a bike back then

  • @vroom1515 well, I think the fire thing was not smart, most people didn't wear bike helmets in the early 1990s just to ride around the neighborhood.

  • I have to agree with you on one thing he should be wearing his helmet especially after a serious accident like he was in.

  • At least he knew to Stop, Drop and Roll and help his friend. With the grand mother in an emotional shock, he was the only one lucid enough to stop the flames.

  • yeah i know STUPID!!!!

  • what so bad about brunt flesh

  • it SMELLS

  • like everything

    it hurts like nothing before

  • @pogo506 umm i dont know? maybe its hurts like shit!!!

  • What about the tree that caught fire from the flames that sprung up and the remains of the burning gas can?

Did anyone try to put out the remaining flames? Or was it just part of the reenactment?

  • I know did they try to put out the ramp and grass that was on fire?

  • The worse thing to use is gasoline on a fire. You can seriously hurt yourself and cause serious damage. When my brother was younger he tryed to use gasoline to burn garbage and ended up setting our whole side yard on fire. luckily he had a water hose allready running and it was taken under control

  • @Rachiann, whoa, i'll bet your brother would proberly think twice before doing that again.

  • When they re-enact this do they REALLY re-enact this?

Like do they do the exact same thing? Put a kid on fire for television?

    Just wondering ..

  • That's an adult stuntman wearing a fireproof suit. Notice that when he's on fire, you never see his face clearly. The child's screams were probably inserted later during the editing process.

  • how would you know it's an adult in this segment that's playing the burnt victim?

  • @allgood2000 oh that's good they used stunt men xD

  • @allgood2000 Very True, in Terminator 2, many of the Motorcycle stunts done by Edward Furlongs character "John Connor" were done by a stuntwoman because of a womans naturally smaller stature, so you are indeed correct that it is an adult!

  • @xJewel97 I can answer that for ya...They put Bobby Porter in a fire retardant suit and then cover his body with alternating layers of this really cold gel and thermal underwear-esq suits. When you see the fire in the episode, the crew rigged for a small fire ball to come out from the burner under the volcano. In the first seconds you see me reacting to that and then they cut to Bobby on fire... with awful voice over of me screaming later on. There ya go. All smoke an mirrors. Gotta love TV.

  • @xJewel97 I can answer that for ya...They put Bobby Porter in a fire retardant suit and then covered his body with alternating layers of this really cold gel and thermal underwear-esq suits. When you see the explosion in the episode, the crew rigged for a small fire ball to come out from the burner under the volcano for me. In the first seconds you see me reacting to that and then they cut to Bobby with the all out fire ball. It was a sight to see at the ripe old age of 11.

  • how come most of the episodes how something to do with kids?

  • I would like for you or beatleMoe to upload Stop, Drop, and Roll 2 and the treehouse one.

  • How would you like your mullet cooked . WELL DONE OR CRISPY

  • dude this is a serious thing that happened... its really nothing that you should be joking about

  • crispy

  • Seeing someone catch on Fire on this show is not funny, But In the Movie Home Alone when Joe Pesci's Head catches fire it's funny.

  • because there's a difference between fantasy and reality

  • eww they gots sum weir hairstyles

  • OMG.

  • Gasoline? I don't think so.

  • he "thought" it was his fault. lol the mom was just standing there, roll em over!

  • Those idiot parents let those kids play with fire. The should be in prison!!!

  • I was bad when i was 10 but these kids are CRAZY

  • What about the rest of the fire? i saw the fire spread out alot, id didnt catch?

  • tht is one smart and brave kid he should be classed as a hero! i would probs just stand there in shock but tbh thts a normnal reaction.

  • That Kid Who Rolled The Kid Who Was On Fire.. ,,, Is a Really Smart Kid And i Think He Really Cared About Hes Friend :)

  • This is why you dont mix gasoline and baking soda.

  • He poured gasoline on leaves that were still smoldering, and the gasoline caught on fire. It had nothing to do with baking soda.

  • oh... uh....

well, I incorrectly assumed that baking soda was put into the model volcano, because thats what most people do when they want to simulate an eruption with a model volcano.

    Sorry.

  • The mom said that they did pour baking soda into the volcano. Just saying.

  • One question allgood, how exactly did the flames suddenly spring up when Cales (is that his name?) poured the gasoline into the model volcano?

  • There were still smoldering leavings inside the volcano, which caught the gasoline on fire, and the fire burned up the gasoline stream into the can, and the gas can exploded.

  • oh ok. thanks for letting me know.

  • Ya thast right allgood2000 but i still feel bad 4 the boy he didnt know any better but hasnt he learned from his parents or school not to play with fire omg!!!!!

  • @allgood2000 not to mention i think baking soda and god knows what else was in there, which helped make the flame start in the first places along with the matches.

  • @joshguy64 Basically, the volcano turned into a flamethrower. You can get the same result by pouring pretty much any fuel or solvent into any container with fire in it. Burning liquid will burst out the only possible exit. Now, if there just happens to be a can of gasoline in the path of the burning liquid, an explosion is inevitable. The power of the explosion depends on how much air is in the can. In a can that size, a spoonful of gas mixed with air could rip your arm off. Lucky boys...

  • Don't use matches, gasoline, and leaves on a volcano used vinegar, red or orange die drop, strawberry or orange soda for a volcano.

  • That's what those two boys should've used. They've Should've Used Their Heads. And Stop and Think About What Might Happen.

  • Oh man...gasoline...are you kidding?

  • They really must put RESCUE 911 on DVD

  • Rattails ROCK!!

  • Why is this guy getting so many thumbs downs for? Rattails do ROCK!

  • billy shatner is the shat!

  • imagine if he did his captain kirk voice on this

  • if they didn't use gasoline, none of those burns would have been on the boy's body. but at least it's a good thing friend knew what to do

  • I remember on segment where a teenager caught fire and he was giving the firefighters and paramedics a hard time.

  • What segment was that?

  • Oh I don't Remember.

  • It was probably "Stop Drop II" from Episode 315. He wasn't giving the paramedics a hard time, but one of the paramedics commented that he was screaming profanity.

  • Well, I'd think that being set on fire, (even if you were stupid enough to do it yourself,) would be enough to make anyone scream profanity!

  • NICE he has his own half-pipe!

  • To that person who insulted and blamed the mother- those kids are what? 10? 11? THEY should have known better. The parents didn't do anything wrong.

  • Children at that young of an age are known for experimenting-it has nothing to do with knowing better (like all young kids know better than to smoke drugs but they do it due to temptation and to experiment-"get that feeling"). She made a mistake as a parent (which all parents do) but this one could have cost her her son. Thankfully, he ived.

  • And her mistake was what? Not watching him like a hawk 24/7. In my line of work I see plenty of children get hurt. Save a few times, I have never blamed the parents. Like you said, kids do stupid things. That doesn't make it the parent's fault when an accident happens.
