Hold on to your cavy if you can. The Hyundai is nice for the suspension, but maintainence costs are through the roof. The Cavy has a bomb-proof tranny that needs no looking after for the first 100K or so; not so with the Hyundai. I've got scheduled maintainence coming up at 60K (51K on this ride thus far) and the tranny and time belt (BELTS NOT CHAINS!) will run me about $700.00 OUT OF POCKET! I see plenty of Cavaliers with temp plates on them.They fix them and resell them for good reason!
dude that car sill could have been fixed or dive it smashed check it out im fixing to cut off my quarter pannel and fix it I hope you did not give it away and if it did not start it has a hidden switch for the fuel pump just reset it !!!
I bit the bullet. My insurance company duped me into thinking that unless they DIDN'T total the car, they wouldn't support insuring it. It's all a scam I see to give the Junk yards some play. I was able to drive the car from the crash site back to a a safe side street while waiting for the Police to process the accident. I ended up getting an '06 Hyndai Elantra which rides better, but has less pep and NO ABS. That's one DANGEROUS ride when mixed wit ice or snow! Ohio has both!
