What I don't get is why didn't the people who build MTS Centre shoot for at least 17,000 seats and a few more luxury suites so as to future proof it for the NHL team that's now coming home?

As an American hockey fan, I found this very moving...a beautifully sung anthem during the last night of a beloved hockey team. I lived in Phoenix for 2/12 years(N. Scottsdale) and I'll tell you what. The removal of the Jets from Winnipeg was a complete joke. Yes, Phoenix probably has more wealth...but, (and trust me..this is accurate!) hockey in Phoenix is half-hearted and useless. The fan core is close to non-existent and there was hardly EVER a Phoenician wearing Coyotes apparel. Bettman=sux

Canada should def have more NHL teams. Even i as a swede who's not even living there can see that. it's bull that they dont have more then 6 teams. In Canada hockey is religion, can even tell that from the 5 Dollar bill you have in Canada.

Andy Van H was the worse ref I have ever seen. I lost ocunt of the games he screwed Vancouver out of. We were somethng like 4-19 with him as ref, and that's when they were over .500

I'm from Chicago, IL. I'm a proud American and a even prouder American Hockey Player.
But no team in Winnipeg is a crime of epic proportions. Phx is an embarrassment as a hockey town. 30,000 in the 'Peg trying to save there team and 200 in Phx to save the Coyotes. How embarrassing! One day NHL Hockey will return to the 'Peg and I'll be there to support the Jets! Then things in the hockey world will be right again.

If Bettman is still the NHL commissioner over the next 10 years, you can bet there will be even fewer Canadian teams. He won't try hard in deciding where they move, he'll just try hard to keep them from staying in Canada.
