here's my theory on why goten and trunks were able to go super saiyan so early. at first, going super saiyan was something very hard to do because people were still trying to figure it out and no one really had a clear idea of how to do it. after it was figured out, the next gen., trunks and goten, were exposed to it through gohan and vegeta who showed them the basics of it and kids learn pretty fast so they were able to accomplish it with less pain and difficulty than goku and vegeta

@JChien6953 actualy its bc they are half human. the key to the super saiyan transformation is emotions. being that goku and vegeta are pure-bloods they tend to keep their emotions locked up. gohan only had trouble bc he didnt train as long as anyone bc he didint really start hard training till the cell games. goten and trunks are half saiyan so they have all the saiyan potential and human emotion drives so its way easier for them

GT ignored this (which makes sense, since he had minimal involvement in it and it didn't follow the manga).
