And it turn out that the "permit" that scientology had was FOR THE DAY BEFORE THIS HAPPENED AND WAS EXPIRED WHEN THIS ASSAULT TOOK PLACE. Plus 4 of the "security" people were OFF DUTY POLICE FROM A NEARBY TOWN and were required by law to wear uniforms that indicated that fact.
All in all, this assault was unjustified and in violation of at least 3 local laws.
I smell another lawsuit for the CULT of SCIENTOLOGY.

It encourages people to alienate themselves from their own family, it cons people out of thousands of dollars. They start a war on anyone who speaks out against them.
Most importantly, they are not a religion, they are a cult. Thankfully I live in a country that refuses to accept them as a religion (the UK).

It isn't recognised as a religion. However I have found out that is exempt from VAT tax as it is apparently a "non profit organisation", despite the fact that it is not recognised as a charity. It is also recognised by the Royal Navy, which is mildly concerning to me. But yes, our government seems to understand that Scientology is a cult, and hopefully this will never change.
