Yeah. I just completed my 1st class medical and my vision was 20/20 however since the medical was in the early morning and my vision was blurry I wore my glasses that I had just picked up after a vision check saying I was 20/20 and 20/40 in the the other eye. I passed my AME exam easily. It just states now that "Must Wear Corrective Lenses on my certificate here in the U.S.

I wanted to attend to the flight school (college level, masters degree) here and I had no chance, because I'm wearing glasses.

Maybe I should have wear contact lenses or had the operation done...

in the USA they let you fly with your glasses,doesn't matter how big your myopia or whatever is.

No, even for airline pilots in US as long as you can correct the vision to 20/20 is perfectly fine.

you can be an airliner pilot with glasses if you have a good sight with the glasses.Applies only in FAA though,not JAA.
