  • love bball breakdown..... the stuff couch nick stay is true.... i'm a lakers fan and even the stuff that sound bad it true... deserve all da success couch nick.....

  • @YaBoyTHECIB Thanks so much! Have you checked out our most recent post from the Summer League last week? Really great stuff, and more to come soon!

    Coach Nick

  • BBallbreakdown. you're an idiot. The suns are an offensive team. What happened in PHX? o ya, the suns OUTSCORED the lakers. I hate people that think they can put some arrows into a game and call it commentary. half of your plays were plays where the lakers MISSED shots. i'm pretty sure that a good defense prevents the other team from scoring, so half of your "bad defense" plays clearly weren't too bad if the lakers DIDNT SCORE. please, just stop.

  • @Nashty2010 Thanks for the comment. Make sure to subscribe to keep me on my toes. Don't hate me. Please.

I'm sorry if you couldn't see the wisdom of my breakdown on this one, but I have faith that if you saw a few more of these, you'd come around.

    Coach Nick

  • i completely agree. the suns dont play defesnse. defense wins championships. I would feel sorry to be a suns fan and watch this horrible defense.

  • @rkoloj Thanks for the comment. Make sure to subscribe (if you haven't already). The post that is uploading right now contains the SECRET to the Suns winning the series. But you gotta watch the whole thing to hear it. Suddenly, their horrible defense doesn't seem so bad. And neither does their bench - 54 points!!! OMG

  • hey coach i like that u always tell it like it is- dam my suns are slacking it, hope they defend better tonight

  • @RIDER2RIDER Thanks, Rider. Your suns did it tonight - stay tuned for the breakdown tomorrow. But how can a pro team play 2-3 zone that many times in a row and still win????

  • @bballbreakdown I dont know, coach you tell me. lol. . ------Question: Whats up with Frye? Do you think Alvin should try something else with him since hes struggling with the 3s that he usually makes. Like maybe some pick n roll plays with him and nash or dragic? To get his confidence going.?

  • @RIDER2RIDER Stand by for Game 3 breakdown a little bit later today. I will do a breakdown that focuses on Frye and Rashard Lewis and why they're both struggling... Hopefully today too.

    Coach Nick

  • Lemme guess Amare's dominant defensive display. Just kidding.

My favorite part of this game was the interview afterward where Amare got questioned on his work ethic, and he responded by saying how he doesn't understand the critism, he always gives 100%. So our earlier discussion before was true, he must really never watch game tape.

That being said we can probably guess what the lakers will be doing at training all day tomorrow.

  • @deathByStupid Perhaps he'll watch my breakdown and figure it out. Stay tuned for Lakers Suns Game 3 today - let's see how their 2-3 zone stymied the Lakers.

    Coach Nick

  • Man before watching these breakdowns, I really wouldn't know how bad of a defender J-Rich is. I would have thought Amare would be decent with that athleticism and his aggressiveness on offense. Also Coach, are there any stars/high profile players that are actually genuinely good players. After you ripping on Kobe and Lebron, I'm loosing hope

  • @deltanaija Don't lose hope! Well, not all hope. If I can get my hands on enough footage, I can give you a top ten of who I think do it right. Who do I put in that category? Hmm... Manu, Rudy Gay, Brandon Roy, Rondo. If I were a GM, I'd start wy team with Rudy Gay at small forward and Brandon Roy at guard. Tough, tough players.

  • nice man nice !!

  • @max420ful Thanks. I still say the Suns can hurt the Lakers - but they'll have to outscore them. Check out my most recent breakdown. By the way - has anyone noticed the Lakers have given up 107 and 112 points in these games??? They gave up 97 points a game in the regular season!

  • Hey Nick! Great videos man, but gotta say I gotta love Fish's sneaky moves. If the refs are gonna call it, might as well take the advantage, but is a gamble b/c if the refs don't call it you've got a 5 on 4 situation with Fish on the floor and nobody covering Nash.

  • @tripjack All true and true. Thanks for the comment. Make sure to subscribe (if you haven't already) and spread the bballbreakdown love! As for DFish - if he did that to me, you'd bet your ass I'd level him on the next play. If I'm gonna get a foul, then I might as well earn it. (Kinda like what Fisher did to Scola last year in the playoffs)

    Coach Nick

  • This is the first time I've seen one of your vids and I'm impressed. This is worthy of a subscribe.

  • @gjohnson320 Thanks so much! I hope you did subscribe. Did you see my breakdown of Kobe's performance on Modern Family?

    Coach Nick

  • good video :)

Amare is so bad defender ;/

  • @motyl6674 Suns fans want to defend him as a defender (whoah), but I have seen very little evidence of him stopping anybody in this series.

  • Hey Coach Nick.

Another great video! I'm assuming you didn't include me in your shout-outs as this was a Laker's video. I'm sure you'll give me a shout-out in the Celtic's recap of game 3. Ha-Ha. Anyway, two things. First, I wish your videos were longer. Lastly, I think the Celtics might have "one forward who can play 'D' like Gasol or Odom". Keep up the great work sir.

  • @AmazonCharlie Thanks, Amazon. youtube has a limit of 10 minutes - and the majority of people seem to think they should be 3-4 minutes. Even when I try and shorten them, they're 6 minutes. It hasn't seemed to bother anyone, so I'll do my best to balance them out. Oh - and I'm sure you've seen the Celtics breakdowns where I show how KG isn't the forward he used to be - certainly not able to do what Gasol and Odom are doing on fresher legs.

    Coach Nick

  • The Magic woes are mainly Dwight's and Jameer's fault. Jameer tends to over dribble although he has been shooting spectacular. With the way the team is built Orlando needs a pass first point guard like Jason williams who can shoot the three. Not a ball domination PG (nelson) who can shoot the three. The offense, needs to focus through Vince and Dwight.

  • @LiLgInUwInE This is where the GM runs into trouble. When your team does well with a player playing a certain way throughout the regular season. Then the playoffs come and depending on the match up, that player becomes non-existent or simply fails to adjust. I've been a fan of Nelson since his college days but with all the scorers Orlando already has you have to wonder how they would do with a PG who would be more of a floor general (Rondo) and can make others look better (Nash/Paul).

  • @LoneshotHero I'm going to try and do a breakdown on just Nelson to explain why he's performing so poorly. He's better than a 3 apg PG, and I don't put him in the same "shoot first" category as Marbury and Iverson...

    Coach Nick

  • Btw, i also liked how you made a response vid to mark jackson (perfect example of a retard "expert") if you get the chance, can you make more vid responses to other analysts (agree/disagree format) to like skip bayless or jalen rose, etc? i respect those guys a lot more and i like listening in to what they have to say.

    keep up the good work.

  • @RecSpecs Great idea, Mr. Specs. I try and watch the games quickly and so I don't always listen to what the announcers are saying. Give me a shout when you hear something notable in case I miss the audio.

    Coach Nick

  • hey coach nick, i really like your breakdowns. i've been a fan of the game since i was 6 (12 years ago) and i've grown from being just a fan who just likes highlights and dunks to a fan that wants to understand the intricacies of the game, and this is my first real opportunity. i've tried to watch many analysts and "experts" on tv, but most of them a retarded and don't go into details. so thanks for making this channel. and yes, i did subscribe.

  • @RecSpecs Awesome. Love the username, by the way. Stay tuned for more breakdowns of the Conference Finals!

    Coach Nick

  • Glad to see that your viewership is growing. I have been referring this to all my friends who watch basketball.

  • @GaryJiangMusic Thanks, Gary. Hopefully, I'll be on some other bigger sites soon. I'm thinking about making T-Shirts - you think anyone would want one?

  • @GaryJiangMusic Thanks so much, Gary! There have been some exciting developments with it. Hope you liked my breakdown on Kobe's performance on Modern Family.

  • Great vid Nick thanks for the shoutout lol haha my bro made the name for dis account its kinda dumb lol

  • @rcinglad No problem! THanks for all the comments. Keep spreading the bballbreakdown word across the web!

  • @gencbiba I hear ya, bra. It's like the battered wife who sees her face in the mirror and still says she loves her husband. You could show footage to him - just a close up on him in 3D HD 100" LCD screen, and he still wouldn't understand that he doesn't try on defense.

  • A good few time I watched the lakers just toss the ball around like they were playing a 3rd grade team. No matter what the suns do, its only going to make the losses look closer than they really are. And btw JRich is garbage to me, I hate sloppy players like that who have so many faults (Gilbert Areans) but no one notices how much they hurt the team

  • @foxfire1112 Being small doesn't stop you from being aggressive - they need to clog the passing lanes, push up on the guards and jam them in the backcourt - and mostly take away the pass to Kobe when he's on the perimeter. Just deny the crap out of him. That might not work either, but it'll give them a chance...

  • So much for the Suns' improved Defense. Amare has always been a bad defender his entire career, and he's just being exposed once again. He definitely does not deserve max money. The sad thing is he has the potential to be a good all-around player, but I don't think he has the desire to improve on the defensive end.

  • @SrM90 I agree, but he doesn't have it in him to be a good defender. They really need to limit the time both he and Richardson are on the court together. Good to see you up here commenting!
