  • lol my last name is dento

  • Lowest center of gravity I've seen.

  • 1:03 is smooth

    Great clip

    Thanks

  • great video. thanks for posting. this variation of frst cumitachi is super...

  • Actually the first kumitachi in aiki ken is exactly the same as the first kumitachi of the kashima shin ryu kenjitsu style

  • The first kumitachi in aikiken is the same as the first kumitachi of Kashima SHINTO Ryu not Kashima Shin Ryu,they are different schools.

  • Look up "riai" and why weapons are taught in aikido. If I wanted to learn how to hit somebody with a sword, aikido would not be my art. :)

  • spoken like a true budo master. Tell me what is budo then?

  • Aikiken does not claim to be swordmanship, but if you call it 'not budo' you'd make a mistake.

  • I agree with that.

No it is not swormanship, aikiken`s purpose is to develop proper ki blending and good training for taijitsu cause the techniques made with ken and jo (aikijo) are the same as in taijitsu. This in combination with the propper intention is BUDO!!!!!

  • When u hit each other's heads with bamboo sticks,it'd be budo,if done with the understanding of personal development, same for aikiken

  • yes, what is budo? interesting question, i like O'senseis view of what budo is. And if you want a martial art that klings to its tradition, aikido is recommended! I don't like where martial arts is going. Judo for example, the do spirit is as good as lost in the west.

I think the fundamental philosophy of no competition gives aikido better grounds to keep its do spirit for a few decades to come...

  • that was gold.

  • Great videos. He is comming to my country (Chile) this Year, so im training hard to get the most of his seminar.

    Thanks for posting. 5 stars.

  • sensei hitohiro one of the best in the world of aikido..

  • The best over the best

  • Bravo!!!

  • He is the best!!!
