I live in BC, Canada, we just had the government pump up another 15 carbon tax on fuel. At the same time the oil companies in Canada get about 2.8 billion dollars in tax breaks. This is criminal and hypocrisy is the new norm.

Now, besides that 4 bil, imagine the cost - how much is lost due to subsidies to these big guys? What's cost of that? Another 4 bil? Or more? Most people have never even heard of Monsanto. Of those that have, most of them don't understand the ramifications of GM foods. They don't know how they are created and they don't know about super weeds and the overuse of pesticides and they don't understand that these poisons are making us sick and destroying our planet! Monsanto has destroyed so many lives - I wish someone would destroy their lives.

Unfortunately, I think it's gone too far. With the sheer volume of GMO crops in N.A., there's no way anything organic or conventional can grow without being contaminated. Plus society over here is so dumbed down from eating the poisons they have no will to change anything; as evidenced by people I've personally tried to reason with! They trust their government and they just don't care!
