The United Nations is listing the countries in which honor killing is practiced. On the top of the list is India where 5000 cases reported as of last year. Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Ecuador, Germany, India, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Uganda, United Kingdom, the United States,Albania, and Bangladesh are among other countries. Why it is not practiced in Malaysia? And where in Islamic doctrine (Qur’an, Hadith, interpretation etc..) that "honor killing" is discussed? Honor killing is abhorrent and despicable but why all the focus is on Jordan? This is an ancient Mediterranean cultural practice. It's found in the Middle East, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain and North African countries. Of all the cultures that sanction it, Jordan has the lowest number of honor killings. That doesn’t justify it but to expose the issue, the focus should be everywhere this evil practice is allowed and not just Jordan.

The friends convicted with it because they didn't want anyone to know that they were being used in that fashion, and because of the presence of a sadistic revenge complex based on circumstantial unfairity.
