@jorgeyz85 to gain control of the bike in the air squeeze ur knees on the bike and keep a center mass of ur body and if u move ur torso then because ur ur knees squeezing the bike, it will follow your movements

When jumping a dirtbike 2 stroke 4 stroke back stroke what ever if your bike is going forward give it gas to level it. if you are going backwards hit the rear brake this will stop the rear wheel and tip the bike forwards. leaning your body isnt gonna do squat.
i beg to differ, leaning does everything. but its leaning into the jump that makes the most difference, if you just rely on the throttle or brake then you lose speed in a race and that aint good
if your are nose diving on the landing, try cracking the throttle when your front wheel is at the bottom of the jump till it is at the middle of the jump. you could also stay on the throttle the whole time and should stay pretty level. if worse comes to worse and you forget to do the 1st 2, just rev while in the air to spin the back wheel and it will bring up your front wheel. (this is for a 4 stroke. 2 strokes are diff)

when you put the throttle on in the air it spins the wheel, when the back wheel hits the floor it is spinning faster than the speed you took off from the ramp at, this pushes the whole bike forward and forces the suspension to absorb all the impact trauma. hope this helps and good luck with the bike.
Hitting the throttle tends to bring the front of your bike up while braking does the opposite. It's more of an issue when you go to set your bike back on the ground I guess. Who knows, I'm new to this too.
It's the gyroscopic effect. When the rear tire is spinning airborne and the brake is applied then the tire stops. When the tire stops the counter effect is to lower the front of the bike with the rear axle as the pivot point. Opposite is true for "panic rev".

if your nose diving everytime u need to hold the throttle till the end of the ramp dont leave off before and...also try leaning back more when air born and be on the balls of your feet...keep practicing ull get it. check out some of my vids we got all sorts of toys...

to clear a double or triple, you have to be comfortable enough to jump it, practice on a tabletop the same length, then when you feel ready, have at it. It's much better to overjump it then come up short into the landing. once you start becoming comfortable with the double, then remember what gear you're in, and how much throttle you're giving it.

why not just explain how to preload and absorb the jump? like the stiffer your legs are going up the the jump, the higher you go, unless you're sitting down up the jump (seat bounce) which is like stiff legging and will preload and also get more traction up the jump. while standing up at the bottom of the jump and by the time you get to the lip, you're nearly sitting down, is the opposite and soaks up the kick of the jump..

lol i always use my index finger on both the clutch and the front brake but i guess proper technique is to use 2 fingers on both, that way you keep a neutral grip the bars and wont get tired as fast. what finger you use is really just a personal preference though.
Clutch with the two fingers closest to your thumb. Front brake with just your pointing finger so you do not lock up the front wheel. For real agressive braking once you know your limits use two fingers for more power in your braking. Index alone is awkward you will decide what works for you.

why not just explain how to preload and absorb the jump? like the stiffer your legs are going up the the jump, the higher you go, unless you're sitting down up the jump (seat bounce) which is like stiff legging and will preload and also get more traction up the jump. while standing up at the bottom of the jump and by the time you get to the lip, you're nearly sitting down, is the opposite and soaks up the kick of the jump..

lol i always use my index finger on both the clutch and the front brake but i guess proper technique is to use 2 fingers on both, that way you keep a neutral grip the bars and wont get tired as fast. what finger you use is really just a personal preference though.

Clutch with the two fingers closest to your thumb. Front brake with just your pointing finger so you do not lock up the front wheel. For real agressive braking once you know your limits use two fingers for more power in your braking. Index alone is awkward you will decide what works for you.
