It was simply too short, and the inability to have other player characters in your game made it irritating to play online. Fable 3... just didnt have the story fable two did, and didnt let you explore so much as run around and beat things with premade weapons... the character morph weapons were consistently underpowered.

Lionhead is a fucking joke. Fable 1 was brilliant, 2 was good, 3 was shit in a bag. The best thing they can do at this point is remake Fable 1 and add a bunch of new content to it so it's a much longer game.

I loved Fable 1, I died on the inside in Fable 2. No bosses... No real hardcore alignment modifiers. Barely any customisation. Your character barely developed compared to 1. The best parts of Fable 1 were cut out.

Fable 1: Great orientation linking gameplay with the story. Good variety of enemies and memorable boss fights. Highly customizable and the story was immersive and interesting. Also one of the first games to use cinematics and make them interesting to watch while not giving in to better quality graphics.
All the other Fables: Pretty much the exact opposite. WTF? What happened to the original plot and story? What happened to the gameplay? And why does the first one still trump all the sequels???
I was glad to learn there will be an actual Fable IV besides this game. At least, I think that's a good thing.
Even though this is supposedly disconnected from the main series, I hope it foreshadows something for IV. Maybe a hint with it being "The Journey." Maybe IV takes place elsewhere? Or maybe this game just takes place elsewhere.

oh peter I had to learn hard way to never to never trust fable again. First one was amazing when it came out. Second was horrible, its like nothing you did matter and flying prymaid boss battle. Third was step up from second one but it still short and for 3rd series huge disappointment, the fact you couldn't die made it pointless, and to begin with its not even a hard game. If he could have done 1/5 he promised in his games would be games of the decade.

The Fable series isnt bad , its just not difficult anymore. You cant die, there are no real sigificant challenges , no real boss fights less of an RPG but more of action game, not many side quest , not really open world. Lionhead put most of there time in interactivity with the NPC and the world which isnt a bad thing its just that , the game is still an RPG so actually make quality story. Lionhead has a pretty pretty nice backstory it could benefit more from longer production cycles.

Fable: The lost chapters. Bought it for pc 2 years after it was released. Best decision of my life. LOVED IT. I got so into it. The story, the characters, everything. Fable 2. Bought it for the 360. It was pretty sweet. Challenging and fun to play. Had a crush on Theresa. Sorry if that's wrong. It was something about her voice. Fable 3. Didn't buy it, but I played it. It was fun, weird that the hero speaks... not used to that. This Fable breaks the chain though. This isn't Fable fans playstyle.
Loinhead Studios has slowly been running the Fable franchise into the ground. Just because they have a loyal fanbase doesn't mean that they can give us subpar games and lackluster endings.

oh peter I had to learn hard way to never to never trust fable again. First one was amazing when it came out. Second was horrible, its like nothing you did matter and flying prymaid boss battle. Third was step up from second one but it still short and for 3rd series huge disappointment, the fact you couldn't die made it pointless, and to begin with its not even a hard game. If he could have done 1/5 he promised in his games would be games of the decade.

Fable 2 had a lot of different weapons and shit. Fable 3 royally fucked that up!

Honestly ppl hated so much on Fable 3 I thought 2 was worse Fable 3 had fun features, and if the game was harder and longer it wud have been a worthy sequel to Fable (and don't comment saying i'm an idiot because it is my opinion)

What does it matter if u play the son of a king a hero or s.th. The Fable series isnt bad , its just not difficult anymore. You cant die, there are no real sigificant challenges , no real boss fights less of an RPG but more of action game, not many side quest , not really open world. Lionhead put most of there time in interactivity with the NPC and the world which isnt a bad thing its just that , the game is still an RPG so actually make quality story. Lionhead has a pretty pretty nice backstory it could benefit more from longer production cycles.

Fable: The lost chapters. Bought it for pc 2 years after it was released. Best decision of my life. LOVED IT. I got so into it. The story, the characters, everything. Fable 2. Bought it for the 360. It was pretty sweet. Challenging and fun to play. Had a crush on Theresa. Sorry if that's wrong. It was something about her voice. Fable 3. Didn't buy it, but I played it. It was fun, weird that the hero speaks... not used to that. This Fable breaks the chain though. This isn't Fable fans playstyle.
