  • Knowing the Scriptures is good, absolutely. But "this is Eternal Life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." (John 17:3) It is those who have not been known by Jesus who will be rejected. (Matthew 7:21-23) The question is not, "Do you intellectually assent to the verity of Scripture," but, rather, "Do you actively follow what Scripture teaches, and are you led in the details and decisions of your daily life by the Holy Spirit?" Bless you all

  • @OKandNOWwhat Well said! But thank God because when we Christians fail, and we all do,we can confess our sins and be forgiven(1 John 1:9). By His grace,we can go on! God bless you too!

  • @HoodEvangelist

Thanks, brother. Let Jesus have His complete desire with you. Withhold from Him nothing, neither your career, nor family, nor human life, and you will know the joy of trusting Him and being His fool. Nothing on Earth can compare. Thank you for your comment. Jesus can be trusted, but He tests, through affliction, those who long to serve Him fully. Stay strong by being weak for Him.

  • This is man centered ploy. I urge the narriator to travel to 3rd world countries and learn most children of God don't even have a bible. They can care less who Sporgen is. They are struggling to survive with 2 to 3 dollars per day.

Jesus said go tell the whole world about me. I would like to take this guy to the jungles of Africa. See how thing are. He needs to get humbled.

  • @changeishere2008 Why do people like you discourage others from furthering their Biblical knowledge?

  • The first teaching in God's economy is knowledge with Spirit.Believers know only because God gave the understanding of their knowledge. It is not subjective or educational it is Spirit revealed. This video is educational preferred teaching with elite esoteric privilege. Most believers most from all the world are not educated know simply the knowledge of Christ by Word and Spirit.Assent has NOTHING to do with faith without Spirit.Knowledge puffs UP! Full assent without Spirit is pure ignorance.

  • faith i being dumb

  • comments need approval? fundimentilest islam sites need approval too.coincidence?

  • الثقة والطاعة ، لا توجد وسيلة أخرى لتكون سعيدا في المسيح ولكن الثقة والطاعة la confianza y obedece, no hay ningún otro modo de ser feliz en Cristo, pero confiar y obedecer .

  • The ultimate irony - Christians dissecting epistemology. Submitting to authority (it is true because some one powerful say so) and populism (it is true because everyone says so) aren't exactly what I might call intellectual honesty.

  • @ Cherylwens, whoever gave you thumbs down must have openly admit their faith is as blind as someone being led by a pharisee.;

  • What is necessary for you is to honestly look at the different religions and then you will be able to come to the logical conclusion that not all religions are the same. Therefore, a blanket statement like the one you posted claiming "religion", as if they were all the same, is fraud is not an accurate claim. What looks stupid is when a person ignorantly makes claims like this without doing any research, not when Christians "start" on fundamentalism. The Bible and the Quran are different. :)

  • @parakeethands

God hates religion He loves men and women who follow His son Jesus Christ.

God can care less if you know theology or doctrine. That is why the Gospel has to be preached as it is. it's in John 3:16 people hear a message first then they will follow Jesus. He says come as you are , with all your sins, pains, load , doubts, questions you name it. He wants us as just as we are. Then he changes us as we read his word and spend time with Him. it's like being a new baby .

  • I recommend John R. W. Stitt's book "You Mind Matters." It is about 85 pages. An easy read. It goes thru the importantce of the mind in scripture.

  • Actually it's John Stott, not Stitts. :) Thanks for the recommendation.

  • LOL. Sorry. I never even noticed. My typing skills suck and I don't pay too much attention sometimes. Hope you enjoy the book.

  • I tell others that my Christian beliefs are a dynamic trust based on facts and knowledge and not just blind faith. Its akin to crossing a sturdy bridge because you have examined it before crossing. Christianity is a reasonable religion based on historical facts.

  • Thanks, Lane.
