@ReverendSyn Yeah, that was addressed in the description. I agree it is overused, but after seeing WALL-E I felt it should get a video of its own using the piece.
@ReverendSyn Isn´t that a reason to use it more and more? I'm lovin' it! They should also all be in sync with explosions and epic stuff like that at the right time in the music. ^^ Like when theres a bang on the drums.
It's the same thing on each and every "Requiem for ..." video, people arguing whether it's dream or tower and nobody mentions the video.
You did an aweseome job, again. I loved the Watchmen mashup (6/5 stars, for sure) and even though I somewhat get bored of yet another Requiem-video, your editing is absolutely flawless. Wish I had those AfterEffects skills (or at least any clue at all) ;)
The original music is, yes. However, this is a re-orchestration originally made for the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers trailer. And it was released under that name on the album "Corner Stone Cues".
song is requiem for a tower, a remix of lux eterna made by the producers of LOTR, who specificly made3 it im not sure but clint mansell didnt make it, as far as i know
The end credits were done using Adobe Premiere Pro's tool for rolling text. That tool includes the ability to include images as well as text, which is how I got the "8-bit" style sprites in there.
Great job on the whole thing, including the credits, PLUS the fact that you put Burn-E in the credits which scores you bonus points in creative respect.
It should really be against the law to watch videos in standard definition, because you are really doing yourself a disservice by not watching High Definition.
Forget the digital transition, we need a High Def transition, like seriously.
I'll be the first to admit this music is overused (particularly on YouTube), however I'd felt a need to do a WALL-E video with this music... so I did. I think the end result was reasonably good, and it at least has the benefit of not being one of the films typically set to this composition.
In fact, in searching YouTube, I can't find any other fully original edited video that uses WALL-E with this music.
Heh, this is quite awesome. Whereabouts in the movie is the scene where Axiom goes into hyperspace with all the colourful lights? It's extremely relevant for the second part of a video I'm making....
Thanks very much for the quick reply! I'm still trying to figure out most of Vegas' capabilities, despite having used it for some time now...I guess the best way to find out is to experiment....
jesus christ lmao this was amazing. so epic and (even tho the movie was to) this made me want to watch it on blu ray again but it wont be as epic as this god i love it
Thanks a lot! And yeah, that sequence is from BURN-E... I thought it fit well in there, though I had to slow it down slightly to make it last long enough. The font at the beginning is actually the same font used as the basis for the WALL•E title... it's called Gunship, and is available for free.
I rendered using the Mainconcept H.264 codec, at 1280x720, 23.976fps, VBR with an average of 8000 kbps and a maximum of 16000 kbps.
Yeah, the HD looks much better; especially on full-screen.
wow im impressed

"I don't want to survive! I want to live!" No more manly words were ever uttered in a Pixar movie.

More like Requiem For a Droid.
Good editing. But unfortunately this song is one of the most overplayed tunes. I mean its a good epic song, but its used way too much.

Original Song: Lux Aterna by Clint Mansell for the movie, Requiem for a Dream
Requiem for a Tower was the name of this adaptation which was originally created for LotR: The Two Towers.
Btw...freaking awesome work on this vid!!

I think the Theatrical version is "Requim for a Tower" and the other version is "Requim for a Dream"
seanigle 2 years ago
look look, this is true: This song is called requiem for a dream, for the movie requiem for a movie...
they used this song for the lord of the rings trailer. Then they changed the name of the song to requiem for a tower....

This is requiem for a dream... not a tower

wow, i expected this video to suck since its requiem for a tower to a kids movie, let alone, a pixar movie, but i was overly impressed.
amazing job. and how did you do that last bit (the ending credits)? thanks.

That shot is actually from the short "BURN-E", a bonus feature on the DVD/Blu-Ray release of WALL-E.
I slowed that scene down considerably for my video... originally it was on screen for a little more than a half second or so.

This is one of the best fan-made Wall-E trailers I've ever seen! Timing is impeccable, and the font at the beginning is cool!
I loved the climax, and the parting quote! That was awesome!
Is 2:10 from Burn-E?
By the way, what settings did you output it to get the HD link instead of just High Quality? It looks a little better than HQ, IMO.
