Millions of dollars are devoted to placing weight sensors on hiking trails between British Columbia and the U.S. to catch people backpacking pot into the U.S. Look it up. @TonyFbaby87 in my terrorism class we discussed the fact that illegals and mexicans are sneaking in 70-150 miles into our country and capturing teenage girls and selling them on illegal sex markets. you dont hear that on the news. we should not make immigration our whole focus, but we need to be aware and be actively pursuing a correction for the permeable border that we have. it is not the biggest issue, but its one we need to work to fix.

In your opinionated and arrogant case, it certainly makes sense. Who are you to tell anyone how they take their citizenship? You value your "thoughts" and opinions far more than they are worth. Hey I agree If I was on welfare or a college drop out I would be first to agree. But as a graphic designer who is starting his own studio and has donated countless art works and has worked across many digital media venues, I contribute more than most ppl. What pisses me off are stories like that illegal girl who has a 4.0 and cant get in to berkley, But Shara Palins dumb kid gets pregnant and they give her thousands to give a speech? Thats Bullshit and u know it! She should be deported.

I work and pay taxes, I bring in more money than the average person, and thats not counting the money, time and services I have donated to many charitable foundations.Im not being arrogant im just showing the hypocrisy in ur statements. If u wanna be a prick and judge ppl by a strict standard then judge ur self and Americans first. "We are a nation of laws"; thats the reason why they arrested Rosa Parks, doesn't mean they where right either. Fairness thats whats missing in ur arguments

That is our motto buddy. We accept immigrants for we are a nation founded by immigrants. Just because ur born here doesn't make you American. American is something you earn through struggle and by championing obstacles. A true American knows humility and honor in their work. If anybody is willing to cross a deadly dessert for days just to feed their families, That makes them an American. what have u done?

@TonyFbaby87 dont even try to quote me on that.that IS my motto. i do accept immigrants. legal immigrants are fine by me. during the industrial revolution when there was such a large amount of immigrants pouring into America, it was great. whenever a person wishing to come to America comes here and goes through the proper channels legally i think its great. i am not trying to keep people out of here. i think that it should be done LEGALLY.

@TonyFbaby87 that is correct, if they come to america, go through the proper channels and immigrate legally, i have no problem with them. but that is different then saying, "ok, well all you here already get a free ticket". if amnesty was the solution, how would it be enacted? a large portion of illegals would want to remain so. why choose to pay taxes? i know that many would choose to be a citizen, but there are so many that wouldn't. i just want people to pay their dues.

@TonyFbaby87 i know what you're getting at, that the cost of deportation and all would far outweigh the benefits. ummm, really? i dont expect that we'll be able to deport them all. what we really need to focus on is supporting things like arizona's bill. but i think that we do need to remove illegals that are caught. after all, they are committing a crime and take advantage of the system.

It looks like its more of a Us against them mentality. It feels like its a of those damn Mexicans are stealing our jobs mentality. You know, thats red neck southern ARIZONA mentality. Give me one fair resolution to this problem and I will change my mind but until then it feels like racism

@TonyFbaby87 absolutely. i would be happy. racism? if the point we've come to is that we don't feel comfortable enforcing our laws because people complain that we're being racist if we do, then we are screwed. i don't care the nationality or ethnicity. illegals are a problem. if in my previous comment it mentioned mexicans frequently, it is because those are just some recent official statistics from the LA Times. the wording was not of my choosing. i just quoted it.

So my question is; Are you bothered that there are 10 million Mexicans or 10 million illegal immigrants? Because if ur truly worried that they are illegal then you should be worried about finding a way to immigrate here legally. I mean obviously they arent sneaking in for fun

@TonyFbaby87 10 million illegals. thats what its been from the start. and legal immigration reform is exactly what i mentioned in a previous post. but again, when i say that, i dont mean obamas plan of "reform" of amnesty. i think that immigrants should undergo some type of naturalization and learn about america. they should be able to say the pledge of allegiace or the stars spangled banner. if they come here, they need to come here and become americans, not immigrants from a country

I thought it was obvious to you that in order to become a citizen you need know the History of America, speak English and know basic things? WHo told you Obama would just hand out free Amnesty? Even Amnesty is just the right to become a citizen, the process of becoming a citizen also means you would need to know certain things.
