  • Wow. See bootheglobalperspectives, video on Greenhouses and social and economic impact. Ben

  • does anyone know where i could find the guitar song that plays when your inside of the barn??

  • Alternating crops is not the future. It is imperical that food is grown the normal way, as generation of farmers have done . Cause if we change this way of growing food, we too change the way of the enviornment. Which in retrospect is not good for our enviorment.

  • talk about freak world. leave nature alone, it takes better care of itself.

  • I currently imported about 44,000 lbs of Jack Fruit weekly from Mexico, but I still have a lot of quality problems such as turning black on its skin if keep in cooler and it is getting ripe fast if left outside. What should we do to maintain the fruit green but also can be ripe inside? Please advice. Thanks.

  • for me, only organics, never transgenics, etc

  • Far out...

  • It's like Willy Wonka but with health foods.

  • You could see the people on the special greenhouse walking tour in the fish farm. Oddly enough I can't find a video of that anywhere on YouTube.

  • тот кто имеет ум понимает что генетические изменения нанесут только вред

создайте условия до всемирного потопа и вы получите совершенно лучший пищу someone who has a mind understands that genetic changes will cause nothing but harm

create the conditions before the flood and you get absolutely the best food

  • This eerily reminds me of Jurassic Park.

  • Fucking Awsome video

  • I love that ride. I even took the "behind the seeds tour."

  • I think zteam99 is distinguishing between (1) foods genetically modified by their own natural pollination mechanism plus whatever organism selects & spreads the seed and (2) foods genetically engineered by scientists inserting segments of genes which make them resistant to the herbicide RoundUp, so farmers can dump herbicides on their fields without worrying about killing their crop.

  • plant version of jurassic park. lol :p

  • and holy shit! does anyone know if they sell seeds to these giant plants?

  • damn, yeah i dont like the mixing of animal and plant genetics, i think thats kinda strange. I dont want trees that grow steak, unless we figure it out that PERFECT way that its really like good nutritious steak from a tree. But i agree that everythign we eat pretty much is gen. modified, even some totally unrelated plants are changed by combining plants through grafting, creating one interesting hybrid

  • Might miss the sun,,

  • Genetically engineered food = Weapon of mass depopulation

  • MODERNA KMETIJA---RIBJA KMETIJA

  • lol 9 pound lemons

  • @xhomeboy333 lol

  • U canalso grow great cannabis with this technique .

  • cool

  • I heard on the Monsanto ride you get sprayed with Agent Orange and then genetically modified... Round Up ready!

  • @RMCrowley :) :) quality comment

    No GMO no NWO

  • i'LL BET ONE GEN ALTERED TOMATO THAT THERE IS ONE OR MORE "UNABOMBER TYPE "LURKING AROUND HERE' (---;;..--) (----;;--).

  • brianwesley28 I couldnt agree more!

  • I am not sold. You can not mimic nature and the sun well enough for me. I prefer using tried and true means of gardening and using plants that grow and diversify naturally as part of natures complex ecosytem. Genetically modified, hybrid and artificial lighting isnt good.. tempting as it may be.. you cant cut corners with nature.. pay now or pay later.

  • genetically modefied plants are good for everyone not bad. what do you think corn is. It used to be a small grain plant like wheat.

  • @MrRhacker1 we turned that small grain into the corn we know today by selectively planting over thousands of years, not by genetically modifying it. Watch The Future Of Food. Genetically modified crops literally have the potential to wipe out every other plant on Earth. Why do you think farmers have to buy seeds every year? because the GMO are modified to terminate after 1 season, they are actually named terminator seeds. Does that sound good for everyone?

  • @MrRhacker1 And did you know that to Genetically modify plants you have to basically inject plant cells with viruses and bacteria?

I'll say it once again anyone who reads this please watch The Future Of Food, or Food Inc. Start a garden this year ( I'm giving it a try) I've already done the most labor intensive part and I can tell you it's definitely easier than working all day, to earn your check, and then go buy food. And anyone interested in this stuff should look into Aquaponics.

  • God help us all...

  • USDA = Monsanto

    Monsanto = Evil

  • Genetically Modified Organics are bad for everyone. Humans and Animals, Farmers and Comsumers.

  • where is this place is, i want to visit, and can i get genetic seeds ? some one answer please if know

  • @alghoraba Epcot in orlando florida. It's part of Walt Disney World Resort. No, they dont give you any seeds. Sorry.

  • @angel12235 uhhhfff. and let them keep them all. nature provides better, the way it's meant to be. The Nestle scientists :) :) ah ah

  • @alghoraba were you paid for this comment too?

  • Great video! Thank you

  • Wow! Nice video! Thanks for the tour!

  • have you tried using coir products?? growbags, coco peat or husk chips???

  • fish farming is stresful for fish and forcing them to live in crampped conditions is cruel. I don't agree with that. thats not good

  • @14CPO voted this down by mistake. This is frankenstein food, which they already feed us enough. Grow your own

  • that large tomatoe plant/tree is cool. I like aeroponics but it does make you think that food grow on chemical fertilizers is going to end up in the plant. The plants are what they eat also

  • I went on this for the first time yesterday (And I go to Disney every weekend!) and I was bored. But 9 pound lemons? I thought that was pretty cool lol

  • @satcgal45 if you go Disney every weekend, then of course you think a 9 pound lemon is cool. :) :) learn about GM food...or die early

  • Soylent Green is people

  • Its intristing. Something you must not have the maturity to enjoy.

  • Ahhh i go on this all the time, i love it and im not sure why lol

  • @nicecamaro I tell you why your not sure,; it's because you go on it all the time. you're in a loop.

  • Thanks

  • Genetically engineered food? Not for me, thanks.

  • Just in case you don't realize, every food you eat is genetically engineered. It all isn't necessary high tech modification, but it is still mixing the genetics of multiple organisms to get a more desirable plant. There is virtually no plant that you eat that ever existed in the wild.

  • There is a world of difference between genetic selection and genetic modification. Genetic selection has been practiced for thousands of years and uses natural breeding methods. Genetic modification does NOT have a proven safety record, and in fact, there is much evidence that it commonly causes adverse health effects.

  • 'every food you eat is genetically engineered' that's an incorrect statement. because engineering refers to manipulation of the genes of an organism directly. saving seeds from plants that grew well is natural and safe. the methods used for modifying these organisms is being shown to be unsafe more and more each day. it's not the same, not even close.

  • true, but those plants are a combination of similar plant genes. Corn crops don't naturally exchange genes with jellyfish.

  • @crock703

The genetic manipulation and alteration of crops is a fascinating concept, but I have read reports that would recommend that combining the genes of plants and animals, to produce crops, creates new proteins that our bodies are not able to digest and there is a potential for adverse effects. This is a very nice facility. Hydroponics and aeroponics are certainly able to produce high yields. I am skeptical of the genetic alteration and combination of genes of plants and animals.

  • @brianwesley28 That is why the foods are tested. If it contains something that is harmful to the human body, it is not used; the ones that are not harmful can produce huge quantities of food. It could feed the world.

  • @brianwesley28 you're right, so stay healthy and refuse plastic food. Nature rejects GMO crops.

  • @crock703 why not? you seem to have done the transition ok

  • @woofboy111 Uh, thats not correct. Heirloom plants(tomatoes, potatoes, etc) have been around, some of which, for hundreds of years, before genetic modification of plants was possible.

  • @woofboy111 it called arificial selection.

  • @woofboy111 except for the plant of "bollocks" which must be where you pick your information. You're either NWO or plain ignorant. That one is ripe, pick it.

  • @woofboy111

yeah, but they weren't sliced with animal dna.

  • @woofboy111 cross breeding is not the same as genitically engineered food. cross breeding(hybrids) happen even in the wild(naturally), but genetically engineered is when scientist mess with the plants genetics. look it up some time.

  • @zteam99 enjoy starvation then :)

  • Feel what way?

  • oh man some of the comments to this video are soo funny.. guess they've never been to Disney World.. Maybe they went to EuroDisney LoL. Well this was one of my fav's in Epcot I went through twice. Gave me inspiration, and ideas to build My Own greenhouse, I was really impressed by the genetic engineering of the whole thing. Check out the tomato tree, wha!? a tomato tree you say? One of thiers lived 16 months and produced over 32,000 tomatoes. They even use the veggies from here in the resturant

  • Get out and walk you lazy bastards.

  • Dude, you cant get out and walk on a boat ride. Not sure if that was a failed attempt at humor or just you being stupid.

  • See that stuff that the plants are growing in? It is called dry land. You can walk on it.

The only reason for the boats is that Americans have grown too lazy to walk.

  • Dude, you're from Asstrailia. Nuff said, vegemite weirdo.

  • God ....Americans.....they are behaving like aliens seeing earth for first time....Stop eating burger and go and see world for sometime....Stupid idiots

  • redned

And yet Americans built this whole thing, while you're sitting in your chair watching this video!!!

    Idiot

  • @docrw errm, where you just sitting in your chair writting that? I am. That GM food has corroded your brain

  • Thank you for sharing this video!

  • So innovative!! Why do we have starving people in the world if we can build these types of greenhouses and produce so much food? Instead of 83 cents a day to save a child by shipping tons of canned food and meal to the starving villages.. Take all of that money and build a greenhouse with a water filtration system and teach them to grow food for their people.

  • Do you know how much that would cost?? Do you think the west has an endless supply of Money? The maths is that there have to be poor in order for the west to be Sustained. Isn't life wondeful. (Sarcasm). Welcome to the real unglossed Disney world.

  • there is more wasted food than donations in USA. so do the math, there's plenty of money to do something not enough for one year but enough to have positive impact in one decade.

  • So who'd foot the bill? USA? Theres a war on you know! Every President has a war it's Traditional. All cash in this time is going towards fixing the economic crisis, and Iraq and Afghanistan. I'd like something to be done about poverty, but you know that just won't happen. The west is selfish, not the people but the Governments don't do enough.

  • every government is selfish specially in theist countries, but we as individuals can do small changes.

  • damn I was writing a long comment but forgot I had the quicklist on, and now my comment is gone, but to sum up what I was saying not all of us in the west feel that way, I'd say about half of us, want to fix these problems. The other half here are asleep, and impossible to wake up, I've tried.

  • @happymana and yes, the west as an endless supply of money. check how the Federal Reserve works. Print your own money.

  • Actually there are plenty of organizations promoting and installing "self sustainability", it requires educating people, and of course cooperation by local governments, we always assume its the US keeping people down, but look at all the times that aid has been sent and warlords, generals corrupt gov. officials have use this aid to make a profit. Cheap hydroponics, and special variety of plants, for example Moringa Trees, can help greatly.

  • @pattywakcrab agree, and lets find out what happened to all the other money they say "went" to Africa. Where is it Bono? just, lets not kill them with GM, like with the vaccines. more people died in Africa since they started vaccination than ever before.

  • wow thats cool , never seen something like that. were is that?? were did you record that video???

  • Awesome info but the people on the ride don't seen interested as they are talking during the ride...They need to zip it!

  • i like the mickey pumkins

  • that is so awesome i wish i could make a vid like that so i could put it in my powerpoint presentation!

  • This is an awesome video. I feel like im there.

  • @mrfelix510 must be the GM food. smoke a joint, it'll take out of there :)

  • this is cool i would love to have a job there

  • i wish i could have take the walking tour when i was there. this is the best thing in epcot.

  • l went a couple weeks ago and they had a hanging spiraling hydroponic system. or maybe it was aero. has anyone seen these systems for sale anywhere?

  • i got to do that a few years back. like... 2 and a half years ago. so my guess is that its changed. you get to see a lot more than what you see here.

  • tomato tree!!! omg!!! thats awesome lol 32000 tomato's over 16 months?!

  • wow its like im there..

  • fill it with weed yo you would have a bountifull harvest...lol im soooo high..

  • lol i thought it was disneyland[=

  • Has anybody found a way to use organic nutrients for hydroponics? I don't see a problem with genetically modified food as long as it doesnt contaminate normal plants as some people put it although some of these people who are against gm food probably don't have a clue if it is harmfull to other plants

  • yes! In Hydro... brew a tea and filter it very finely... may clog delivery in your hydro.

This is where the two mix.

    Google: John Evans, Alaska Bountea

but is there "another" in the Force, Luke???

Oh yes, where are the fish? Can we mix all three?

also... Mike at Soil Secrets, youtube him!

Growing your own food is the most powerful thing you can do for your family!. Break yourself free.

Be smart... start with food. Soon, GMO(s) will work with pop. control.

  • DO they use multiple resovoirs or just one large one. This looks so cool.

  • this ride is so cool!!!

  • It's the second best ride at EPCOT!!!

  • This is one of the best videos on youtube thank you for sharing it with us.

I subscribed to your videos please subscribe to mine.

    Have a great day

  • Did he say genetically modified fruit?

  • Seems NASA is involved in the research going on there as I seen the NASA meatball symbol several places in the aeroponics exhibit.

  • that was fun

  • I just got back from there yesterday--it was beautiful!! This is a MUST see if anyone is going to WDW!! I want my gardens to look like that!!! Thanks for posting!!

  • thank you for sharing this!

    great video!

  • Those plants look like they're loving it, not a yellow leaf in the whole place!

  • im going there in april woot wooor

  • we should be spending our monies on hydroponic gardens...the way of the future...too bad the usa is not thinking green

  • As a horticulturist I can tell you there is a massive and growing hydroponics industry in the U.S.

  • @happytime64 thanks, i needed to know that

  • that was my favorite ride. went on it like 30 times!

  • @mikedeceptacon 30 times? are you posting on behalf of Monsanto?

  • can you say genetic engineering?

  • this is cool i would love to have a job there

  • nice

  • Thanks for the video!
