I agree...100%...I also bought the albums, saw them live, listened to them on John Peel's radio show in the '60s. Still have all the tracks on my IPOD all these years later...but this show sounds like CRAP!!
i wa there, and heard a very cellular song for the first time there. it's of huge benefit to me that they played as i am far too young to have seen them before, and regardless of the crappy quality here, and a less than brilliant set list, i still had a great time. lighten up (:
this sound quality wise is a b s o l u t e l y s h i t. i must be harsh but fair. unless the singer is dying i cant forgive him. unless the sound technician had embolisms that night, they cannot be forgiven. the opposite is also true.
to my mind mike is friendly, robin difficult, probably vain, mike open and friendly. robin proud, self important, testy. together during the isb years though, just about all the time, m a g i c a l.
I was there too. Right at the front though! I was disappointed that Robin didn't play with them but he was great with John Renbourn. Shame that they're quitting too, but Clive did look pretty frail. Still, at least Mike will keep playing with Georgia and Robin's going to keep going too.
I saw them here in New York about two years ago, with Mike and Clive. Full of young hipsters, but you could have heard a pin drop during the quieter bits. Absolutely terrific and they did several encores. I've been listening to ISB since about 1969, and didn't think I'd ever see them. What a treat it was.
thankyou so much for putting this up. Have you got any more? I really wanted to go to this but unfortunatly couldnt make it, did you see robin williamson play? what was he like?
Sorry, that's all I was able to take as the memory on my phone was full. Also missed Robin Williamson on the Sunday due to rubbish train times to get back home. Some of the comments on the message board on the Moseley Folk Festival website (www.moseleyfolk.co.uk) suggest that he had a few sound problems.

If this is their last gig, it's a pity they didn't quit earlier (I'm writing as an ISB fan from way back)

That must be the worst version of the Hedgehog Song I have ever heard. I just hope that it was the atrocious sound mix.
