Scarier than any Resident Evil (which is my favorite series), and at least as scary as Fatal Frame or Silent Hill, but most importantly the non-chronological storytelling is a blast. And for those who don't know because they haven't played it, Any level can beaten an obvious way, but every level can also beat beaten a different way. In example, simply unlocking a door, may open up a level for another character who later comes through the door.

the shibitos are pretty creepy, but i don't find this game scary. more panicky, like when you see them running up to you. but i do know, this game is HARD!

I've played FF2: CB and Siren 1.

I actually think resident evil is more puzzling than scary, and Siren got me very pissed off at times.

Siren has some very messed up looking people in it though, very creepy to look at them.

I don't think that Resident Evil 4 was scary at all, it was just a sense of urgency, of overhelming. This one is more the J-Horror type (Resident is more American horror: ugly monsters and gore): mad spirits, a immense sense of no escaping the horror... Some characters don't have a happy ending at all, most of them are doomed. But you're sure who, when and how...That's the fun part of it.

And more: it's a hard game. Harder than any Resident Evil

siren is much scarier than every silent hill iv played, and much harder, siren is the hardest game iv ever played and it was so much fun. i got so close to the end and still cant beet it. i wish they would come out with the second one in english

Resident evil 4 sounds like house of the dead 1 2 3 and 4. EVEN the mobile game. Except RE4 doesn't have cheesy rock music and martian voice acting. Its so embarresing playing house of the dead 2 in the arcade and you hear some fat man going HELP ME HELP ME NOOOOO and he dies with no expression at all.

@danplaz man RE4 is not horror I admit there r some scary parts but sadly RE became a shooter just like RE5 I mean how can u be scared in the middle of the day and ur a moving armory with a partner 2......AND the zombies r not zombs any more a talking black dude attacking u with a knife is not scary specially when u got a shotgun or a gatling

PC is also good at scary games, but the PS console is much better because of the ANALOG VIBRATING CONTROLLER..

i've played resident evil 4, and it was just...the urgency. But I played Siren, and it is so -hard-. So extremely hard. it keeps you on edge. it's difficult, but to the point where it frustrates you. But no matter how much you do it over, you keep wanting to play lol
