@aguywhosacat M249 isn't a round, it's the weapon. It fires the 5.56 round, same as the M16, and that is infamous for jamming. But it's actually pretty reliable

@HunterBeier it's been my experience that blanks in saws are a pain in the butt. It's not horrible, but stuff like that happends a decent amount. Sometimes it's due to the blank firing adaptor not being on tight enough, not enough lube, or extreme use of blanks. I even seen dudes slap in a regular AR magazine of blanks and shoot the mag, then place the belt of blanks back in it to get it to cycle properly. Not sure if that has any scientific value, but it has worked for some weird reason.

@HunterBeier Blanks have a reduced load and no bullet to provide the back pressure, that's why you use a BFA (blank firing adapter) on the muzzle to get the gun to cycle. It isn't intended to function that way, so it will fail to cycle once in a while especially when shooting FA because the system gets dirty faster than it would normally.
