good settings. lol . can u help me though. i have the dazzle dvc 107 video creator platinum , its the same setup as the dvc 100 if u didnt know. mine came with pinnacle studio ultimate 14 and when i click import it will go to the capture window, and it says Failed to get video from device. and my dazzle IS plugged in.? can u help? ive tried changing the setting and ive checked my cables, i dont know whats wrong . but i also capture with svideo and the rca cables. idk whats wrong . plz help??

And most tutorials tell you to put sharpness as low as possible but I can't do that... mine has to be high to at least get SOME quality in it so... any suggestions?

@ShankMyLadies There will be a folder dedicated to where your capped videos go to from Pinnacle Studio 14. It's the folder you designate to save all your footage to. When in SONY Vegas click "Import Media" and open that folder.

@MusicalWarfare2 Right, to do this, you have to switch to PAL 50 and start capturing, then switch back to PAL 60, colour should be black and white. Now, you going to have to download amcap. When you've downloaded amcap, start recording in PAL 50, then switch back to PAL 60. You should get black and white. Then, load up amcap, go on options, video capture filter. You should see something saying NTSC_M, now click on the drop down next to NTSC_M and go down to SECAM_B, u shud now b recding in color

@xPiGz you have to select ntsc instead of pal in studio settings then download amcap and change settings there to semcap b then u have pic and colour

@iDacnomania Render it out using Sony Vegas. You can probably find a torrent for it somewhere but be careful. There's a lot of viruses out there. Use Pinnacle Studio 14 just to record with. At least that's what I did.

When I use the speed up or slow down speed effect, the sound gets canceled out.

@meleemovies when shortening a video clip all you have to do is hold down shift at the end of of clip then click while holding shift and drag to make the clip shorter. You probably did wha ti used to to do and just add velocity correct? But when you do that the sound stays the same. I learned about holding shift and just dragging and it helped out sooo much since it speeds up the sound as well. hope this helps

Nice tutorial, I use pinnacle studio 14 HD to make my videos which are wmv's. So you get a better overall quality when your sharpness is lower then the default?

@tvscherm2000 make sure you're on either s-video or composite video. Also check to make sure all your wires are plugged in the right place. If that doesn't help, contact Pinnacle. They're live support is really helpful and is where I learned most of my stuff.

Hey, I just got my dazzle today, hooked it up and everything, but the video starts capturing, then the audio comes in like 10 seconds later. Also the video is going like 2x faster than it should. I am using studio 14.

@VisionPulse I got this also. What fixed it for me was upgrading from Pinnacle Studio 12 to 14, not having as many applications open while running Pinnacle, changing my computers performance settings to high, and using the Pinnacle Settings as described in the video above. Good Luck.

Hey I noticed that you have scene detection off. What exactly does that do?

@MrTuckaFTW From what I know, scene detection on will automatically cut anything you record into segments automatically IF you choose to edit them using the Pinnacle Software. They will not be affected when working with Sony Vegas and other editing programs.
