I think it's nice that he is making songs about what he believes, but when people put their views before the music it's appalling. You ruin the sanctity of the music. That's all it is, that's all it needs to be.

Simply put- if you are saved, you will not move away. If you're not saved, chances are, you will move away.

I've been falling away from God a little each day..It's hard to admit, but I have and I see it happening yet I do nothing to change it. All of my life has been filled with difficult challenges. Darkness has tried to take over in every part of my life. B4 college I didn't have to put forth much effort to live for him...now that I am in college I face new challenges. I want to change. @jrforesh Exactly right. We need to search out for ourselves what Scripture actually says. It really solidifies it for yourself if you have backing and its not just what someone said or what you heard. Actually basing a position off of inerrant proof is a big help for your argument and your own spiritual positions.

Just because someone makes a profession doesn't mean they actually believe or accept Christ. Christians express their belief through what they do (James 2). Some more verses for you 1 John 3:7-10 and James 2:18.

@locotacoeater salvation is a free gift. Since it is a gift, which means you cannot forfeit it through your own merits or efforts such as turn our backs on the Lord. Once save forever saved, there's no sin that is strong enough which we can commit to lose the life given by God to us.

@locotacoeater In response to Matthew 12:31-32 - this is something that someone who is truly saved would never do. This isn't removing you from salvation in any way, it is speaking of apostasy. @locotacoeater When you are truly saved you become a new creation. (Ezekiel 36, 1 Corinthians 15(IIRC), etc etc etc.) Paul is simply pointing out an identifier for someone who is truly saved- if you are truly saved, as a new creation, you will not move away from God- as it clearly says in Ezekiel 36 (which I will post in a second). Simply put- if you are saved, you will not move away. If you're not saved, chances are, you will move away.

(Ephesians 2:8, 9 ESV) We are saved by accepting God's free gift. We can in no way earn this gift. Salvation is not a result of anything we har done can do or ever will do.

If he appeared to be sved walked away but then returns he might not have been saved but then truly accepted Christ as saviour God. A person is only saved once not multiple times because of multiple sins.

@jrforesh Exactly right. We need to search out for ourselves what Scripture actually says. It really solidifies it for yourself if you have backing and its not just what someone said or what you heard. Actually basing a position off of inerrant proof is a big help for your argument and your own spiritual positions.

@Yeahthatslife16 Here's the thing, once a person is saved he is of God and doesn't want to sin anymore because he is a new creature in God. Yes we still sin but if we are truly saved we WILL repent. Just because someone makes a profession doesn't mean they actually believe or accept Christ. Christians express their belief through what they do (James 2). Some more verses for you 1 John 3:7-10 and James 2:18.
