@frontenginedragsterd Except they are not - look closely and you'll see they are not rolling off the wing tip but coming from under the wing about 6" to a foot in from the tip. If it was air vapour it would disperse more rapidly and not remain so compact.

I was lucky enough to have seen three Furys race a couple of P51s and a Tiger Cat-twin. This was in Tunica Miss. The climb rate on the Fury is unbelievable. It's not only fast, but I think it looks better than the P51. Never have been a Mustang fan, although they shot down plenty of Migs too.
