We were like a group of friends, we're like 20 in my house watching the finale and all of us were like "Adam so cool!!!" but there were no negative comments on Kris. It's like "I like Kris voice thingy".

And when Adam performed we were like shouting and jumping and he whole house is on fire. And when Ryan Seacrest said Kris Allen, our jaws drop open, our eyes dropping from our eyelids, and silence.

I love Adam too and I wish he would have won, but at the same time I'm kinda glad he didn't. Runner-ups are r more famous, and like someone already said, they don't have to follow AI rules. So Adam actually gets the better deal if you think about it! :) Adam's album is amazing and I think he won even if it wasn't the AI competition.

@xsimpleshadowsx i agree. adam lambert wouldn't be as famous if he did win and anyway, the runner-up's get a better deal than the winners because they don't have to follow all the rules and he can be as amazing and 'out there' as he wants. he believes that he won as well and so i believe he did too because i love him too much to disagree with him. he's so amazing, kind, sweet, funny, beautiful, and perfect. when people say 'nobody's perfect' it's a lie, adam lambert is perfect. i love adam!!

Given all of this, I think it says a lot that Adam made it to the finals. He had all these things working against him and yet he still managed to make it that far on a relatively conservative family oriented show. That just shows that he will go far and the "loss" doesn't matter.

Why Adam didn't win:

1. Not mainstream enough - Adam is too far outside the comfort zone and musical taste of the demographic of Idol family viewers/voters.

2. Danny Gokey voters gravitated to the next closest thing in Kris Allen. Same would have happened if Gokey had been in the finals - he would have received Kris' votes.

3. Lack of motivation to vote - some may have thought Adam was a sure thing to win so didn't vote for him.

Many people in this country are so biased!After AI though I am finding billions of Adam fans from my country and from many other countries. He won even though he lost. I have never seen so much controversy over one performer like this! Whether people hate him or love him, he is the most talked about. He is going to be as big as Michael Jackson and Elvis but in the future people will be saying that about a new performer, that someday he or she will be as big as Adam Lambert!

I doesn't matter to me. Everyone that matters appreciates Adam's phenomenal talent - from Gene Simmons to Katy Perry, Slash and probably even Led Zeppelin and Bono. I never expected him to win: he's too big for AI. The kind of people that would dig his music are mosly the kinds that turn up their noses at shows like this. I mean, look at it this way: Do you think the great Freddie Mercury would win AI if he was there? I doubt it.

A lot of fans didn't want Adam to win because they didn't want him to be stuck with the song done by Dioguardi. If you look around on youtube you'll find a lot of people attesting to this, but I have not seen any Kris fans with a similar attitude. This most likely undermined a large portion of his support to lock him into a runner up position.

I have no doubt in my mind that we will be hearing as much from Adam as we do from Carrie Underwood and that is no small feat.

As a Lambert lover, no, it doesn't really matter that Chris won. Chris is fantastic - but I still maintain that Adam was Absolutely INCREDIBLE. I was mad after the show - but come to terms with it now. They will both have excellent careers if they choose as will Danny and probably Alison. Still happy Adam was on that finale stage!!!!!!
