Man, this movie must have cost next to nothing to make. I bet they paid the actors more money than what production cost.

Ha ha. all the comments made at all through the movie were wrong. The kid knew he didn't need to do the out door stuff. He was a confident young man.

such a shame that part 1 had like 43,000 views; all the following parts only average 14,000.

highly unbelievable film (susp. bridge, leaving a kid on a rock face, rain storms w/o tents/supplies), but damn good entertainment. wannabe badasses will bash allan, but we were all scared kids once. whole point of the film is vic's pushing of allan to be stronger, and it worked.

When Vic said asked him"How did your father ever talk you into coming this summer", Alans reply should of been "I didnt, you did Vic" - Meaning he talked Alans father into letting him go. That would of been cooler imo

Alan is clearly a Nietszchean Overman while Vic is hanging on to a master class morality and the other kids are mere automatans, or perhaps Alan is the epitome of the Last Man and Vic the free, uncorrupted survivalist trying to elevate his fellow man and ultimately, inadverdantly, succeeding....or maybe i'm reading too much into this 80's B movie.

it's really all Alan's father's fault. he should've sent him to computer camp, now the kid is scarred for life.

So are they friends now? There didn't seem like there was much conflict resolution with Vic being a crazy psychopath. Is he going to be left to do this to more kids next year or are they going to lock him up or put him on antipsychotic meds?

It often happend in 80s movies that the hero and the bad guy would become friends at the end but it was never when the bad guy was a sadistic fuck who wanted to kill him.
