Let me get this straight. Avid only recently added some drag and drop methodology that has been part of Final Cut Pro since 1999, yet FCP is "prosumer garbage"?

I guarantee you that Avid executives are looking at the video from NAB of the new version of FCP and saying, "we're screwed."

@SenorCajones I use both Avid and FCP, but I think FCP took a step backwards with the latest version (FCP X) by omitting some professional features. I like FCP 7's interface better than Media Composer's though.

People are so stuck in there ways, AVID is great, and Final Cut Pro is great also. They both have a niche though. Hollywood is a great market for AVID with its network working features, but for the INDY scene, and lower budget work areas FCP can not be beat. It is in no way "Pro-sumor" that is just ignorance

@waschow My sentiments EXACTLY! I hate Macs and have crashed more on a Mac then a PC, and when a Mac crashes, how the fuck do you recover. I mean even if you do a hard reset, the damn thing reboots still in the crash state?

@101media I never worked with FC, but I heard realy bad things... about the performance, the workflow and the mediaorganisation... Nothing for me... The very thought on iTunes is disgusting...

And Vegas isn't better... it's different and has its failures too...
