It is SOCIETY that needs women and men to "come togeather" to make babies. But men don't need babies to lead a successfull life. Nor do women.
But men, because of societal pressure, are told/taught once they are old enough to understand language, that it is that young man who must produce wealth and that nobody is going to "be there" in his corner, should he need help. A Man without a wife and children is considered an orphan which is same as a kid who lost his father and mother. Con't- While in general men end up paying alimony let's not pretend that there aren't couple that get divorce and the man walks away with half bc it happens everyday. Get a prenup, your problem is solved. I'm a woman and you better believe I want one. Child support makes sense some men want kids & don't want to help pay for them. Does it equal all the work and time that it takes to build a career? Probably not but don't blame women for men being attracted to something that is "less difficult" or take less time to acquire.

Most women really want (not need)children, most men don't care about having children. A 40 yr old childless mother would be much more misrable than a 40yr old male virgin. The gender divisions of labor are about efficiency and not ability. He also seems ignorant that in many agrarian and pre-industrial communities (our doomsday scenario) women have the knowledge and ability to procure resources such as food and water and to create shelter--pretty much all of the basics needed to survive.
That being said, the main thing women have needed from men in modern times, has been protection from other MEN. How ironic.

IMO It depends on what you mean by "need". Because really in modern society, men and women can survive without each other. The last clip from the guy's channel indicates that men only need women to quench their sexual urge but we need them for everything else. I disagree, we it comes to basic needs (food shelter, clothing,) thanks to technology and civilization, both sexes can each achieve that on their own. And if you add sex, as a basic need, there's devices for that as well.
