If you get round to reviewing this I look forward to it.
There were always games over the course of a year that grabbed your attention and this was one of them. I was thinking the same thing as regards Colony. If only this game had included a bit more to do as in repairing things from insect attacks.
thanks - there was another vid up by retrogamevideos but this shows lots more. the music is the best i think i ever heard on the speccy, especially the strange sound effects. its main let down is the repetitivness - i used to just blow the crap out of all the structures after the 3rd world out of boredom. i think only the boundary fence was indestructible. wonder if anyone did all 25 worlds?
You're welcome mildred. Nicely put together game. It was different from general games at the time. As you say there's not enough variety which is a shame really. Still a nice game which stands out from the crowd. I am just about to upload the 25th sector.
There ain't gonna be a part 25. Just part 2 with level 25. I ain't gonna be saving 25 parts to my hard drive. That would take weeks and nobody would watch them. So a quick edit and Bob's your uncle.
Imagine editing and saving the whole thing! 25 parts at 10 mins each and 36 mins to save each part with Windows Moviemaker and then 20 mins to upload each part. I'll leave the maths to Carol Vordermann! Takes me back to 3D Starfighter. Any games which have no variety graphically are going to be cut short.
The 48K version was my first introduction to the game as well and I was impressed by it. Some great enhancements for this version though. Usually the only difference between 48K and 128K was being able to avoid multiload.
strange game but brings back happy memories

only joshin spins - no way would any sane minded person do such a thing. it would take a minimum of 27hrs and 30minutes btw.

i just had to nudge carol out of bed to ask her the answer to that question btw.

That's cheating! You're supposed to do it on your own. I bet you had two from her top and one from her bottom!

Are you trying to say I'm sane? Thanks for doing the maths.

This is a game I've had bookmarked to check out for ages. The graphical style and animation is fantastic. Looks a little like a 3D version of Colony.

I used to like the 48k version of this. It's a good job I never saw the 128k version or I would have been green with envy!!

Like the sound! Pretty good. Did not know AY could do that!!

Yeah, great music and eerie sound effects! Just shows what the AY chip could do when a decent programmer got to grips with it.
