He is 3 years old now and in beautiful health. He still like the syringe to play with I squirk water at him with it. Hand feeding him like this has made him the most tame Bird I have ever owned or seen. He sleeps with me, Plays on the floor with two dogs and a cat. Which the cat is his best play buddy. He lays on top of the bird cage for hours. Not to mention he rools around lays on his back. This is a great bird. I feed him oatmeal at night warmed. He is the Best bird I ever owned,
ure not feeding it properly!! it is supposed tobe eating that whole thing in about 5 seconds, put ur hand on its head/neck and just squeeze the syringe for it to take 5 seconds for all of itto come out. dont forget the syinge has to be far in its mouth
i have a 10 week goffin cockatoo.. i have the same syringe and feed him with it he only has one syringe full of food or half and iim worried his eatting to little my goffin cockatoo goes to bed at 10pm and wakes up at 7am i dont feed him in the night is that a problem???? please help thanks
@khanazali well i got a sulphur crested cockatoo and its the same age as yours and i feed it in the morning and at night so i would say you should feed it in the morning and night and i also gave it some seeds i forgot their name on the ground and it eats them sometimes so ya u should try this
Well, he is 3 now. And he is doing very good. When he see a syringe I was using to take medicine he wanted it. I put some water in it and he did like he was a baby again. You probably don't let yours sleep with you either, nor run around the floor with dogs, and a cat. But him and my cat our best buddies, and when all four of them are running around it cute. The are very tender with him, and he chases them around like he is the head of the house. He lays on his back and rolls around with them
Hi, is there a reason why you dont hold his head with ur other hand when feeding him? I have raised around 5 babies in my life but i was always taught to hold their head, one because it could hurt them if it goes thru the wrong way if you dont, also you want to give it to him at the right temp and by feeding him that slow it gets cold and hard. Please im not saying ur way is wrong, just asking, I guess we all have diffrent ways of feedin, It looks healthy and thats the important thing,he is cute
I switch to oatmeal at night with a little of his food, and he is so happy. Not a lot just hot water a teaspoon on oatmeal,a little white sugar, and a little butter, as if you're making it for your self, then I add sprinkle of his food. Just before I cover his change. Oh, and sliced almonds. He his is 17 months now. He likes some people food, god forbid I am making eggs, he has to have one. noodles, any vegetable, I make for dinner, fruit I offer him that too. He loves chasing the dogs, and cat.
I think that your method of feeding and weaning is the same as mine. When I started feeding my grey, she should have been weaned at 16 or so weeks. She wasn't totally weaned until she was 6 months old. I let her decide because I wanted her to have optimum nutrition and she weaned off the stuff when she decide. Of course, if she sees her old syringe now she thinks it's food time, but if I offer her anything with it she turns her head away. :-) Cute video!!
Did you see a fucking cigarette in my fucking hand . Screw you my Valley is great and I raised he from 8 weeks old on so if you knew anything you shut you F%^& mouth and go back to your obviously problem bird, Mine is hand tame, sleeps with e, goes on car rides with out a leash of any sort! with e when he wants and plays with the dogs, and cat. What does yours do listen to your foul language! Unless you have something good to say keep it to your self! I don't smoke! That is the biggest JOKE!
It is not cigarette smoke!. I had a scent candle burning On our kitchen counter. He is health as a horse and the most playful bird I have ever had he sleeps with me in my bed cuddles, lays on his back and lets me rub his tiny tummy and message is feet. What does yours do. He even runs around with the dogs. Tell me what does your bird do. is the most personal Bird I have ever seen or owned. Unless you have something nice Keep it to yourself
So cute! My Valentine(umbrella) was 6 months old and still on formula when I got him. He is now 12 and is still my pal. I love how you mention to people that these birds are a lifetime commitment!
my friend has a babie cockatoo and they feed it with a spoon they give the cokatoo babie food i got to watch it is so cute oh her name is lulu i was the first one to see it and it never bites but lulu does have a mad screem for some reason it sounds like a dog bark. you should see my vids go to handi cap dog it is a labrodoodle don'tworry my dog is not actually handi cap trust me you will laugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hi, i have a 1 month old ringneck and doesnt want to eat like that by puting the seringe in his mouth, so my local petstore dude gave me like a small flexible plastic tube to take it down his troath and push the food directly in his stomach, do you think its a bad method? cuz im feelin pretty bad for the chick but in the end cant leave him without any food.
Unless you are shown the proper method, the feeding tube can be dangerous...resulting in formula in the lungs or a burned crop. How did you get an Indian Ringneck so young? And how is it doing?
Do I seriously see smoke, you shouldnt have any smoke in your house with your bird or dog! Are you dumb?
