Hi, I'm the guy behind the camera. You r right, I'm using a cheap mobile to take the clip. That explains the distortion. It is not spinning.

Well, I've not tried it on other days. But I've seen others tried doing it on other days and it still works. The notion of doing it on that day is more cultural than science.
