  • God, what a talent, and she made every song she sang, hers.

  • OhhhAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that part where she screams, is just priceless; I keep repeating that part.

  • She could do anything. Anything.

  • "for it was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. it was not my lips you kissed, but my soul."

    -judy garland.

  • Judy lived & felt each song she ever sang & did it with such ease! I've listened to both of daughters belting out songs at their peak, but they seem to always faulter vocally. Judy had the original voice but neither daughter got enough of Judy's vocal talent to sound as smooth like Judy at Carnegie hall. Lorna always seems to think if she holds a note longer and over does the vibrato that she can excite and move the audience the way Judy always could..She doesnt even have a signature song.

  • yo pienso que es la gran cantante del siglo.........es un caso aparte........

  • i'm obsessed. i've watched this clip every day this week lol - the last "in the morning" is indescribable.

  • i love this song and judy just made me like it even more she sings great like always JUDY GARLAND WAS ONE OF THE BEST STARS EVER :D

  • she is great i luv her she sings so good

  • she is; AMAZING. there are no words...

  • Woah.

  • Love this clip! First time seeing this gem. Is this particular show available for purchase..it's not included in the box set...is it??

  • @plp1964 it is, but it's very pricey. the full set, all together on amazon will set you back almost 700 dollars, being that it isn't being made anymore. it's so worth it though!!!

  • get it baby!!

  • wow

  • Great tune great lady

  • Wow, wow, wow!!

  • my old time favourite song that i used to sing to the old gals,,

If only i had judy's arrangement.

a Power House Song..Remade By The Queen Of Broaway...........

  • whenever judy sings its running me over the skin, she has got somethin that got directly tothe hart, even if not every note was exactly, she was something special ....

  • this was the real Judy.. what she wanted to do. there were many fine moments like this.

  • I never knew that NFitalianGuy ..Wow ..I knew that Lucille Ball loved Judy and they were great friend's...That was an amazing gesture on her part ..too bad it didn't work ..You seem to know a lot about all things Judy Garland ...where have you gotten all your info..? Bio's ? It is really remarkable to me to see all the adoration for Judy by soo many people..young and old ..I wish she could see all of her fans on Youtube, so she'd know how much she is adored and loved still ...xo

  • @PeaceFan1 Lucille Ball attended the very first Garland show taped (though not shown), was in the audience and the wrap party afterward. So naturally, it would have been a big shot in the arm for Judy to have Lucy as a guest, 2 old MGM pals. There is no record of Lucy being asked, or of Lucy asking. Because you don't keep Lucy waiting, not for 1 minute. Period. It is true that Lucy made a public statement of support for Judy, but there is no evidence she stormed anybody's office.

  • Lucille Ball herself stormed the office of Jim Aubrey and told him and his henchmen what they are doing to Garland was wrong and that you don't treat a star like Judy they they were treating her. Lucille Ball had Class and was a Great Friend to Judy.

  • I totally agree with you, bhw722..The head of CBS hated Judy and called her a c_nt ..No, HE IS THE C_NT !! Here Judy is The World's GREATEST Entertainer ..believed to be not only by her fans but every performer of her generation, a lot of whom were on her show..ie. Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett etc..so for that guy from CBS...I think Aubrey was his last name, to ruin that show was ridiculous and stupid ..it killed her emotionally ...F him ...Love you Judy ...xo

  • I agree with you on What you said about Jim Aubrey. He hated this Woman who was like a National Treasure. Lucille Ball herself came to Judy's aid and stormed the CBS Brass' office and told them they how dare they treat a Star of Garland's Magnitude that way. She was appalled when she kept hearing the guests calling Judy a "Little Old Lady". Lucille Ball had great Clout at CBS. That is another reason why I love Lucy

  • PRAISE GOD FOR JUDY!

  • When I read what was going on at CBS at this time and how badly they treated Judy I got furious. This was JUDY GARLAND! She still came out and did her job and sang this song she had sung on stage since she was a little girl and knocked it out of the park!!

  • It's hard not to adore Judy Garland.

  • for what she was going thru at this time...this is amazing.

  • 2:06 ... hell yes.

  • @karlaanne

or in this case. heaven yes!

  • Not crazy about this song, but the power of Judy's performance puts fire under this tune! Thanks for this historic post.

  • Love the dress, voice, person, need I go on...

  • What a wonderful performance! Judy is absolutely fantastic here. I love this song as well!

  • The final show, she was in such agony--everythihg had collapsed. And yet here she is in almost the best shape, vocally, than during the entire series. This IS an important clip, because it is true, she would never quite return to form again--though her first Hollywood Palace in '66 gave some hope, briefly. (a little weight on her helped the voice, by then sadly damaged for good.) Right to the end, she could rise up, but her instrument and energy ebbed inexorably.

  • Thank you! This is my absolute favorite clip from her series. Ironic that it was the last show and yet she is so damned fresh and PERFECT. Sadly, she would never pull it ALL together like this again. This is a VERY important clip.

  • sooooo so good!!!!!!!!

  • absolutely amazing. a stunning performance. a singer like no other!

  • i have never seen anyone sing an old standard like this with such verve and feeling as judy garland did! i never tire of hearing this clip!

  • Great song and great performance! This one brings back some memories for me. I grew up in North Carolina and my dad would often sing this song to me and my siblings as he was getting us out of bed in the morning (this one & 'Good Morning' by Judy and Mickey!). I thought he was nuts then (he was a morning person, I wasn't) but now I can relate to his enthusiasm a little better! I still like to sleep in, though. :-)

  • That is fabulous thank you for posting!
